as in hobbes as a stuffed tiger, not the anthropomorphic form.
My purpose is, there's a store that does custom t shirts, and I'd want to get the stuffed tiger, but not talking hobbes and no Calvin. understatement et al.
can anyone give me ideal dimensions at least even if they can't find a pic?
this is the best GIS can do and it seems too small to go on a shirt-

They might not be willing to do it, what with copyright and everything.

I always figured that if you're not making any money off of it...or mass-producing it...they wouldn't really have a problem with putting that on a single shirt for your personal use.
In any case, it's simple enough where you could just try (as others have mentioned) to draw it out larger.
...or, if you're feeling ambitious, and/or can't get them to print the shirt for you, maybe you could get some fabric paints and paint it on yourself?
Except that Bill Waterson specifically does not want any of his drawings being sold as any sort of merch except for the books themselves. So, they care.
Its not terribly hard to silk screen at home, check out www.instructables.com or just print the image onto an iron on.
This. Iron on won't last as long as a silk screen, but the image wouldn't be horribly complicated. Plus, especially if you draw out your own version of Hobbes, then you're gonna be so proud of what you've made and you'll wear the shit outta that shirt and get all the chicks. You can't lose!

I took that large background image and vectorized Hobbes and removed the background. So with the .eps they can more or less size it to any size they need and it won't pixelate.

Was the best one I could find.

See how many books I've read so far in 2010
Only downside is the print looks like it's gonna feel really scratchy on the skin, so im probably going to have to wash before first wear.
