Hey Everyone

As usual I turn to you, my intelligent masses, to solve my life queries. Hopin' you can do it again:

How can I print a 500-1000 page eBook cheaply? If the ebook was purchased by me, are there copyright infringements in doing so? I don't want to step on any toes and I'm not looking to spend too much to get this sucka printed.

I've looked at staples.ca and they're kinda pricey, but I figure those prices are realistic. Approx: $55 cdn for 1000 pages double-sided B&W laser print.

What are my options? Any websites that can beat this? Will ship, etc. to Canada?

Thanks

How many pages is it exactly? and does the staples price include shipping?

(I work at a copy center and can throw together a quote, see if I can work in a discount for you too)

In terms of if its copyright infringement - it depends on the rights granted to you by buying it. I'm assuming there was probably a EULA, but I believe most ebooks come with permission to print 1 or 2 copies for personal use

5 cents a page is a pretty good deal.

You also may want to print 2 pages per side in a landscape format, and then do double sided (so 4 pages per sheet). This will save on the number of pages you need to print, and the print size comes out fairly close to a typical paperback page.

I would actually pick up the document as I live within walking distance. The document is a combination of 3 eBooks totalling 832pages.

The only thing to watch out for with staples is they have fees for stuff like 'opening files' and stuff. If you're in Victoria I believe UBC is nearby, try calling them and asking if they have a copy center. I can probably beat 5 cents a page, but shipping from Ontario would probably bring it close enough to Staples price again.

That's an awesome idea! I'll see if I can do this too. Shit. Good thinking.

No problem dude. I'm a student at UVic, I'll enquire around campus as well.

I could do it for $33.28 (double sided, 8.5x11) + shipping (looks like it would work out to about $15 through Canada post) + tax (13%)

If you wanted to do it the 2 pages per side way that was recommended above I could do it for $16.64 + shipping + tax
