He's probably my all-time favorite physicist, and the primary reason why I'm studying physics myself.

If there is any justice in the universe, Hawking will pull through and suddenly be able to talk and walk, and some rich, blond shop-a-holic nit-wit will die, as a sacrifice.

But then who among us will make threads to post continuously over the DOW's demise?

I'll pass the torch on to you.

Although I am neither blond nor a shop-a-holic. I loathe shopping. If I ever shop, it's always online, and I bargain hunt. The most expensive clothing I own is from Banana Republic.

I'd trade the lives of every hot chick alive for this cripple!

I'd gladly see nothing but huge, bulging, wrinkly asses and pock-marked, acne-filled round faces for the rest of my life to give this man another decade of work.

Y'know, he IS suffering from a disease that should have, judging by averages, killed him 37 years ago. I'll be more than overjoyed if he comes out of this, but if he doesn't, he's still a fucking champion for living this long.
