Streaming media server

So, I've gotten myself a nice new dandy 720p Kodak camcorder, however I'm a big fan of "do it yourself" when it comes to computer/web hosting type stuff... I host my own pictures thanks to WHS and WHIIST, but I was wondering, is there a Windows application that can be installed on a server which would allow a user to have a website full of streaming videos/music?

The server it'd be hosted on it purely for my family...

Put it on YouTube

I kinda like having control of the media on my end, plus if I wanna take it down, I canm and in a hurrym or upload in a hurry... There's a host of reasons as to why I'm doing it this eay, I just wanna continue doing my own web hosting... (FiOS)

As always, it seems that Microsoft had an answer for me all along...

Windows Media Services 9 is a plug-in from Microsoft that you can install into a server 2003 based OS that'll allow you to stream content over the internet. This plug-in is free and work in WHS...

Windows Media Services 2008 is for server 2008, also free.
