L4D Tournament Finals
Area 51 Gaming vs Exigent
Despite the fact that the tournament website, L4DDER.COM, has been down for weeks, the teams still want to play out the finals. Talk about good sports. A51 and Exigent have scheduled to play out the finals on Monday at 8:30PM EST to see who would have walked away with the $500 cash prize (now $0).
Go to www.pwnage.tv at the time of the match and click on the broadcast tab to view the match. Also visit #pwnage.tv in irc.gamesurge.net or irc.quakenet.org for shoutouts and discussion of the match.
Wait, why is the prize now 0? did it take all the money to fix their makeshift site or something? That's kinda lame.
The guy running the tournament basically disappeared. Website's been down since the end of the second round, and he's vacated IRC. So there's no longer a prize for the tournament. People still want to play it out for shits and giggles, though.
There should be an experienced player shoutcasting with them for this match, but I'm not entirely sure if that's happening or not. I didn't watch the last one, but I may take the time to watch this one if Xanath is casting with them.
Personally i genuinely dont mind the guy who has a clear mic, jcik i think his name is, sounds a bit like shawn elliot, i cant stand crappy mics shoutcasting though

There are a lot of shitty servers out there. I think L4D has got a lot better for sorting servers for best average latency, in the early days it was a real crap shoot and you could spend ages trying to connect to a good server.
Those two commands in lobby connect everyone directly to exactly which server you want to go to. You have to replace the 0s with the IP, but still. Best command ever.

Only got quick glimpse but one of them was a fairly portly black man wielding a chainsaw. I think someone behind him might have had an axe.
The boss infected they showed for about a second looking like a tank, but with different proportions. He had like, one large arm and one scrawny arm, and he seemed pretty tall.
It looks like Team Fortress 2. But its going to be badass. I know it. I mean holy shit chainsaws. I cant wait for that. And for people getting pissed. I dont see why they dont do this. Instead of just updating maps, give us different people with different stories. Bam. Whole new stuff. Makes sense to me instead of just new maps with the same old people.

I am not thrilled about the idea of spending $50 on a sequel so soon. That's approaching EA/Madden levels of milking.
It may just be that Valve shot themselves in the foot with the incredible deal on Orange Box, especially if you consider TF2 to have cost approximately $20, and the amount of content that has been introduced since its release.

I don't get this - the pc fraction is used to contentshoveling valve-side á la TF2, L4D-2 a year after L4D feels strange.
