can someone who's not at work explain how he overcame the whole no self healing thing? Or do rogues have that now?

Double Lifeward enchant, some trinket that heals tiny amount, some Darkmoon trinket that heals tiny amount, herbalism. He also CloS+bandaged quite a few times, and used Feint a lot.

Hi. This is simply a pve video showing how the rogue class can solo the Onyxia encounter.
Blizzard may have nerfed the "untouchable" rogue by greatly reducing the amount of dodge we get from agility, but they did make a key change to feint(grants 50% less aoe dmg taken for 6 seconds)that ultimately made it possible to solo this fight.
The spec used is 22/16/33 for QR(20% more healing done), riposte(20% less target attack speed), and enveloping shadows(30% less aoe dmg taken). Ive tried other specs as well, but this one seemed to work the best for me. Also, for the kill the buffs i used was a defense and agility elixir, expertise/stam food and stamina scroll.
Yeah, that sucks because it looks like there could be some interesting things where only flying mounts could go, but they would have to write a whole expansion's worth of code (at least) to implement it properly.

Mainly the issue would be redesigning, adding trees, lakes, houses etc. Smoothing mountains and reducing repetitive textures. The coding would be in the cities, to make them not have to use a portal based system for culling objects out of range.
I just want them to revamp old quests and quest zones.
There's no good reason why Desolace is still allowed to exist.
Or Ashzara, or Blasted Lands.
I was hoping after the revamp they gave Dustwallow we might see that becoming a regular thing. Go back and bring an old zone up o the current level of questing or near enough. But sadly that seems to have been a strange one off.

Yeah, when did that happen? I was out of the game from like 1.6 to 2.4. Since I've been back I always make a point of questing there because it is pretty packed, I can accomplish a lot in short order. I heard something about Mudsprocket not having always been there?
Also yes Azshara has like the least quests of any area in the game.
I'm definately up for more Dustwallow-esque revamps of old world zones. At this point, when making a new character, does anyone really go anywhere new? All my alliance characters so far have gone; Their race starting zones > Redridge Mountains > Duskwood > STV/Dustwallow/Tanaris > WPL > EPL > Outland. I've had 3 characters from 1 to 60+ and not one of them has deviated from this path except to explore a little when i got weary of the grind, and i can guarantee that my mage and hunter will go that same route.
So if they were to revamp a few more Kalimdor regions (Desolace and Aszhara for sure) you might see more people take a Kalimdor-only leveling route. It'd certainly make Horde simpler to level...

Desolace actually has a decent amount of quests for Hordies, and now that you can get a mount at 30 it's not such a pain to travel there. But yeah, Aszhara definately needs a revamp. Also, they should give us the battleground that's located there. It looked pretty.
Alright, so I'm thinking about getting back into the game and I figured I'd offer up a free month to somebody. I can't guarantee that I'll buy up again but its looking pretty likely. So if anyone wants to be a hero, send me an PM please!
Also is there a good horde server with lots of PA dudes on it?

Patch 3.2: Call of the Crusade
The upcoming major content patch, Call of the Crusade, will bring a host of new features for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
* The Argent Tournament Expands: With the help of Azeroth's heroes, the Argent Crusade will finish the Argent Coliseum just in time to call for all brave citizens to prepare for battle with the Lich King. New dailies, rewards, and more will be available at the Argent Tournament grounds to lure adventurers into the coliseum.
* Crusaders' Coliseum: In order to prepare for a siege on Icecrown Citadel, players will be called by the Argent Crusade to test their mettle in the Coliseum. 5-player, 10-player, and 25-player challenges await inside.
* New Battleground: Isle of Conquest, a new large-scale siege Battleground, will be open. The Horde and Alliance will battle head-to-head for control of strategic resources to lay siege to the keeps of their opponents.
* New Arena Season: Season 7 will officially start, paving the way for all-new items and challenges.
* Crusaders' Coliseum: In order to prepare for a siege on Icecrown Citadel, players will be called by the Argent Crusade to test their mettle in the Coliseum. 5-player, 10-player, and 25-player challenges await inside.
Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like raid-level violet hold? I wouldn't mind getting to sit still while the mobs come to me for a change. It was kind of fun in Hyjal. Ulduar's goddamn huge, even with the teleporters running around the place gets tiring sometimes.
So wait. That coliseum is going to be like an instance?
In that case I agree with Dyscord that it would be very cool to have some signature fights back.
What fights would you want? Be careful which ones you pick...a lot of them will be tainted in your mind with rose-coloured glasses, and having them brought back would only serve to illustrate how far boss fight design has come since vanilla.
Yeah we're not going to be seeing patch 3.2 for a while. I'd say 3 or 4 months. Blue posts said there would be a bug fix patch "long before" 3.2, and we haven't gotten it yet and probably won't get it tomorrow.

Didn't we just get one? 3.12, what was that if not a bug fix patch?

Mostly I want vashj. Mmmmmm. But a lot of the BC fights were fun, and to a lesser extent some of the pre-BC ones. You're telling me you couldn't get some cheap content by re-tuning the top five or ten fights from WoW classic?
Fuck, they did it with Naxx and those weren't even the best fights.

Baron Rivendale in Startholme as he was in Vanilla wow would be both fun and frustraiting
Wow, this video explains TWO things to me! A- Why flying mounts in Azeroth ain't that easy and B- why my rig can/could handle Vanilla fine at max everything (And I don't mean like....years ago I mean like RIGHT before WOTLK release) and yet I have to turn everything off when I hit outland or northrend. Everything is constantly rendered ALL THE TIME and not hidden with portals and the like.
I need moar ram....and just to re-build. My power supply is outputting the wrong voltage....video card overheated...AND I have little to no RAM.
I don't see how it'd be that hard to fix up the classic zones. They can use fractals to create the terrain and ground textures, and that should be good enough, since no one has any reason to actually go there. It's not like they have to add new quests and NPCs and whatnot.
Of course, I'd rather they just removed flying mounts entirely.

There's a lot of fights in BC that would be fun. Those not re-used already.
I admit I would like to see an upgraded version of Al'ar.

It's true that it means they can't design things around a player going where they want, which they realized in Northrend.
But at the same time it opens up a ton of other design desicions, interesting locations, fights, etc. And logically it fits within the world. Just today I was saddened by a quest where a dwarf talked about searching for the Sunken Temple on the back of a griffon. I guess he just took every flight point...?

There needs to be a special psychiatric firm for people who fell off of that cliff while questing.

Well that just aint true at all.
Moonglade has 9 quests less.

I did say "like," I was pretty confident there was less.
For example Deadwind Pass, if you want to count that.

To be fair, I was sunder bitch and my gear isn't that great (not hitcapped, no draenei, etc), but still, that's piss poor.
