i woke up yesterday with some sort of painful bite on the middle knuckle of my right hand, and today it's begun to swell up. it's not as painful as it was yesterday but it's swollen enough that it's difficult to make a fist without it hurting. as far as i can see there are no punctures in my skin, the only mark i can see is a tiny little triangle shape that looks like scarified skin in the shape of a triangle. i tried to take a picture but it came out way too blurry.

it's hard to say without being able to see it. if it's just the one bite it could be a spider bite, those tend to swell up rather excessively.
take some allergy medicine to stop the swelling and go see a doctor. no matter what anyone tells you here there's always a chance for us to be wrong, having it looked at by a licensed professional is the only way to make sure it gets treated
well i was planning on going to the doctor anyways because my hand looks like the elephant man's, but i wanted to get some sort of idea of what bit me. i wish i could get a clear picture of the bite to show.
now i've noticed two red streaks running from the affected area, up my forearm to the inside crook of my arm. so, yeah, i'm going to the doctor right now.

that is bad news. means the infection is moving upward. yes, go to the doctor immediately.
if you get a shitty doctor who tells you not to worry about it, go to a different doctor and get a second opinion. seriously.

They're pretty alright, but mind the fat nurse who plays fast and loose with the IV catheters.
They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.
