    I had the same thought....

it needs fletcher with his magnifying glass and hat.

Though it still reads a bit gay... My mom probably wouldn't like it if i bought that shirt

edit: on the other hand, openly gay people will likely love that shirt and then there will be a number of people who don't care there's a rainbow etc- i think its still a good design.

I do not mean this in a derogatory way. Would the new mystery solved with the rainbow design imply that the wearer was gay and recently out of the closet? That's what it reads to be without detective Fletcher.

    ahahahahaa

    ahahahahahahaa

I can never take this design seriously ever again I am so sorry Fletcher!

oh dang, that was certainly not considered!

oh well, hopefully openly gay guys/ladies and people who are not bothered by rainbows will still enjoy it :P

Ok, fletch - I think the tshirt designs are awesome and I would totally wear the Mystery Solved shirt. My advice is to crank 'em out to take advantage of the expected traffic boost - there will be time later to consider design and whatnot, especially if you manage to retain a good percentage of the readership.

Moreover, if things go well, you sell some stuff and traffic increases, you might want to see if you can sign up with Topatoco, as was suggested before - and my understanding is that they work together with the artists on merch design, so you can take advantage of their (hefty) experience in the area. And you'll have more chance getting them to accept you if you've already got some products/sales under your belt, as well as decent traffic. So basically, my thinking is that you shouldn't sweat it too much for now - this is time sensitive, so let's just see if you can make a couple of bucks.

yep this is definitely what i'm planning on if the site gets more popular!

these are the designs im putting up at the moment, but i'd probably retool them and introduce more things if i got accepted into the topatoco horde (plus their shirts seem to have less annoying colour/printing restrictions than cafepress and printfection do)

The original blue looks better with the change tee

the mystery solved shirt is great, though I'd want it black text white background

agreed on the blue, but sadly something in their printing process doesn't seem to like the coin design on coloured shirts (the colour shows through on the lighter parts of the coin in all the preview images)

good idea about the black text on white shirt for the Mystery tee, i'll wrangle that up when i'm doing a comic tommorrow

in the meantime, shirts are now available from this place.

    WOOOO progress

I like the writing in your comics, Fletch. It's natural, but still funny. It's comfortable, but not too comfortable. It's like Goldilocks and the three bears, except there's no bears. What's porridge anyway? Isn't it, like, soupy oatmeal?

    What was I talking about?

i think that IS funny, but not really the style of funny i'm going for

i sort of impose the restriction on myself that i'm not allowed to use gore/swearing (apart from an earlier comic where i wrote "shit", for which i self-flagellate every day in an attempt at atonement)

p.s. projeck i know it isn't old english! but real old english would make EVERY panel indecipherable

also thank you everyone who gave me the commenting nd the phrases :o

My only suggestion would be to add a nice long screech in those sound effects. Can't have a horrific multi-car accident without screeching tires.

Other than that, I'm for it. I like that the wreck is "mysterious" to Fletcher.

Also, dunno if anyone agrees with me, IMO I think it would be funnier if Copernicus was in panel 5 looking out at the carnage and panel 6 was the same setup only with Coperniuc vomiting at the horror on display as Fletch looks on oblivious to what hes done.

But its already very funny, another one for the t-shirts Im sure,

Hey this comic reminds me that it has been awhile since we've seen antics taking place outside or somewhere other than yellow wall house.

Just wondered if there's a reason for that. I'm not criticizing, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I think that's a bit much, and vomit might fall under the gore/gross out that he's trying to avoid.

Its hard to describe but I didnt mean in a gory way, panel 5 would be his inflated cheeks, hand over mouth to hold it in, panel 6 could just show him bent over beyond the window frame with an SFX.
