EDIT: I do think you miss a lot of opportunities with the tie though, first thing I thought here was super skinny tie or tie-bandage, or the fire tie when Copernicus became possessed.
EDIT: Though sometimes it is funnier than the tie remains unchanged despite what mishaps they have gone through.

I get what you are trying to do with Copernicus being more concerned over the coffee table than Fletcher's well-being, but it doesn't work as a final panel joke, but instead a mid-strip joke
I'd have the first three panels be the same, cut the fourth, keep the final panel as the fifth (cut the glass in the spine line), and then have a smug, beat up Fletcher in the final panel giving a thumbs up
