I have to ask something that I've often wondered when seeing fan-vids for unreleased games. Please, please do not take this as an insult or a personal slight, but I've got to ask... why?
You don't work for these people. You've presumably not even played the game in question, and it's certainly not ready for final release yet. You know, if you have any experience in the MMO field at all, that 95% of pre-release MMOs are a giant boulder of promise and a tiny pebble of actual delivery. So why would you dedicate time, resources and talent to making "fan" videos promoting it? This being something that advertising agencies are, you know, actually paid to do for a living?

OCD crazies never play videogames.
Not even to unlock all those many, many, sexy little achievements. Oh I love them so much...

I have played game in question. That's all I can say about that.
Beyond that, I actually enjoy making videos. I've done it before, and I'll likely do it again. It's fun, and a bit creative.
So how is an MMOFPS any different than playing Halo or something over XBox Live?
Because the world will change depending on your (and by that I mean your "guild's") actions. This isn't a death match and it's over sort of game.
It would be nice if you actually included some information about the game in the OP.
Like what effects are there? Is there territorial control? A struggle for resources? Or is it just a " oh look, we 'need' that fort" kind of affair.
My apologies.
I'm somewhat limited in what I can say at this point, at least just to be on the safe side. I'll suggest that there's more that "oh look, we need that fort". As someone else posted, developers can promise one thing and deliver another by the time the game is live. I'm not attempting to put words into someone's mouth.
Planetside was a cool idea, but kind of bad in execution? I don't know, nobody ever played it.
I..ahh..hmm? Err, well...hmm
Haa ha, enders is a nobody.
Anyway, wasn't Tabula Rasa a MMO(F/T)PS? Look how well that turned out.
I never had anything to do with Tabula Rasa, so I can't personally say anything about it. From what I heard though is that the developers weren't in very much contact with the testers/players, true or not.
Hi-Rez seems to be the most community active developer I've seen thus far, and I've played my fair share of MMOs.

Wait, what was the question again?

Is the appearance customization very, very, very deep?
If so, I might consider checking this game when it comes out.

And Global Agenda is more structured around instanced content, it's less Planetside, more Guild Wars

I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Well, I always hope games turn out to be good, so I'll just wait and see.
It has a very interesting premise and some cool looking gameplay. I'll be watching to see how it turns out.
