It appears I need to get up for school in 4 and half hours.

Damn it Torchlight. And I haven't even bought you yet, it's just the demo!

But it's sooo good. Whoever said Titan Stomp was the best thing was so right.

Works in Steam... but I didn't notice much difference in load time. Mine are spectacularly fast, but I guess they're faster than most? o_O

(I suppose that means it works in a "Steam won't redownload pack.zip" kinda way)

I see someone else got an Ophidian Venom Sprayer.

I also got the shoulders that go with the wand's set, but Ember Lance triggers the 1% chance to convert an enemy to your side for 60 seconds effect on them far too often for my liking. I've had to wait for three different minibosses to uncharm because of it on my old helmet.

Speaking of well-designed, the Molten Prison environment chunks are absolutely amazing. I've gone through a few floors of the dungeon and it never feels like pre-made chunks, which the Crypt set suffers from.

My Vanquisher is still wearing too much lame-looking armor at 13, so I won't post her

But I did just find a 328 DPS Volley Gun of Ice which mows everything the fuck down. It is very satisfying.

I couldn't get enough of shoulder charging through a horde of guys and watching them explode. I can't wait for payday so I can shell out for this game.

Destroyers do exactly that; destroy things. Shoulder-checking people into pieces, slapping them into space with their swords. I think that prase "extremely entertaining" is the single best description of this game.

So yeah. Bought this yesterday, playing a melee vanquisher so far with Stab, dualwield AXES (oh yeah), that skills that knock back every foe around you and.....

    FLECHETTE TRAP. It owns *faces*

I almost fell off my chair the first time i dropped one of those fuckers. It's like a gatling gun on the ground.

I might have told my boss i wouldn't be there tomorrow. Because i can't work and think about playing that at the same time apparently.

Rushed home during my lunch hour to try the demo.

I'm fucking sold. It's smooth, silky and slick. The art style rocks, the mechanics are solid and it's got all the cool Fate mechanics (pet, fishing, heirlooms, enchanting...). It runs like a bat out of hell and it's just so...effortless. I never tried Mythos so this completely blindsided me.

Good job, guys. You just ruined my WoW raiding schedule.

Just timestamping. I started a hardcore Alchemist on the Very Hard difficulty setting. Sigmar and his faithful hound, Luggage are delving towards certain doom.

Mythos set the bar for me on self sufficient characters - my most successful was a Pyromancer that quested in his boxers and used no weapons, amulets, rings...relied entirely on his skills. I'm hoping to pull that off with this current guy - counting spells as skills. Between his power-gauntlet attacks, steampunk golems, and the possibility of a zombie summoning dog, he's leaning a little bit towards Victor von Stark.

This game is really fun, though I don't like the item identifying system and it's pretty easy to forget what quests you're on (though I guess the former is my opinion and the latter my stupidity).

Can't wait for the level editor to be out, can see myself losing alot of hours to that.

edit: Also the inventory feels too small, does it grow as the game goes on?

Your pet has an inventory, and you can send him to town to sell everything he has on him. So inventory space should never be an issue.

This. Also, try to memorize the Identify spell ( you can always un-learn it if you really need to, it's cheap anyway) so that you can just use mana pots to ID all the items and send the pet back and forth to avoid trips back to the town.

Don't get me started. When I began Sigmar last night, the gem chick had healing spells, town portal spells, identify spells, and zombie spells all in stock. Right at the beginning of the game. When I had zero cash.

Just wanted to reach over with that ember gauntlet and choke that perky little...

So! Gimme info in preperation for me getting the full version tonight:

    1. The Alchemist: which stat do wands work off?
    2. How does dual wield work with ranged weapons?
    3. Are the ice skills worth specialising in?
    4. Should I name my cat Clawesome?

    1. Magic? Honestly, it seems to be better to just not spend attribute points until you find gear you can't use.
    2. Awesomely.
    3. Er, I'm playing a Vanquisher, sorry.
    4. Yes.

Summon Zombies is the exact spell I have my pet use to shield me from melee mobs. Your pet will automatically cast when enemies are on screen.

Also, give him a heal spell so he can keep himself running on full. :D

Yup, above your pet inventory this is space for two spells, two rings and a necklace it can wear.

Zombies are handy for the life gain they give your pet too.

I use silence rather than heal though for the pet and just heal it with potions. Since it always runs up close the silence comes in handy.

Just drag a potion from your bag to it's health bar.

There was a short cut I was using last night but I forgot it.

There was some speculation in the Runic forums that the graveyard might have tombstones with your dead characters names ( Runic: please do that ), but not at the moment.
