my favorite is the "eating a bowl of cereal" move.

also the sprinkler, that's a good one.

One show we played, someone threw a gallon of baby oil on the floor - hilarious..

    Hardcore is/was huge around here.

I went through college with all these kids from a nearby city all into their hardcore, and their hardcore lifestyle, fashion, and shitty piercings.

postponing their career in accounting/day laboring/ cubicle sitting was SURELY the worst decision these kids ever made

The whole world does not echo Fight Club. They weren't postponing, they simply 'weren't. Many of them are now just drug-addled, untrained in any art form or profession, and have no direction. I don't mean that as a bash toward hardcore. It's simply the route they took.

If I started a band called "Bracewar," all of the lyrics would revolve around epic conflicts about indentation styles.

Our first album would be called "emacs vs. vim."

Of course, this is why I should never start a band.

I don't have a problem with hardcore kids unless they get too "BLARG I AM HARDCORE" about it. If they just want to let loose at a show and dance and mosh and party without booze, thats awesome.

And it keeps them off the streets.

So fuck you dudes who are getting all holier-than-thou on this shit.

    No, it was entirely appropriate

Acting like there aren't dozens of miles of squalor surrounding Mexico City is a disservice to those living in that squalor.
ok now you're being an ignorant douche

common sense tells us that if the people that had died were living in squalor and already malnourished and unhealthy, the WHO would have already taken that into account and there wouldn't be much of a mystery

but no, because it's Mexico let's just assume they're living in squalor and it's just a normal flu that killed some people that were just vulnerable because of their living conditions
    that makes much more sense

For fucks sake Dru, which straw man is that last paragraph directed toward?
and how did your previous comment have anything to do with what I said? I never denied that there are some very impoverished areas of Mexico. Absolutely true. But it's amazingly idiotic to wonder if the WHO is expressing concern over a possible epidemic that killed people that were just a bunch of broke ass, malnourished peasants.

Like I said, the WHO would have taken that into account if it was likely to be a significant factor in their deaths. The reason Americans haven't died from it yet probably has much more to do with the simple fact that there have been far more cases in Mexico than in the U.S.

We do not know why people have died in Mexico, and not elsewhere, according to federal officials.
Mr. LB wondered if it might not be due in part to the very real situation of poor living conditions in Mexico.
And you flipped shit, and now we're here. I'm out of cigarettes and now I have to go. PEACE YA'LL!
yes, AND I EXPLAINED WHY IT IS A STUPID THING TO WONDER

It doesn't have to be hardcore to be good. There is risk involved in putting yourself out there no matter what. There is CONSIDERABLY less cache' involved in being a 20 year old in a jazz band though.
