As for the very bad bug, you can turn in your quests to Wind infinite amounts of time, and getting the rewards infinite amounts of times. Which you can sell... Profit!
For example, start and complete any quest that Wind asks you to do. After recieving his reward item (sometimes you don't get an item but a skill or whatever) press START and not A button and you will exit the menu/window. Talk to him again, and you will still see the quest activated (it should still be TEAL in color), talk to him again to get the reward, press START to exit. Keep doing that until you have millions of $$$.
EDIT: remember the quest where you're supposed to get cursed? that quest reward sells for $12000. I did that about two hundred times.
It seems really unlikely to me that all STR does is increase unarmed damage, and CON increase unarmored defense. I mean, who would ever not wear armor? And I know I've noticed my damage go up with a weapon when my strength went up.
Constitution works sort of like its D&D equivalent also. I believe it can affect damage you take from poison and I'm pretty sure it effects how many hit points you gain when you gain a level as well (this was at least true in Circle of the Moon and the other GBA games so I don't see why they'd change it here).

the quest glitch doesn't work when you have like no quests to fill except for the mastery, all skill, and all magic ones
Thanks for the tip on powering the old Vampire Killer up, and on where the last nun piece is, guys.
Man this game is awesome. The boss battles are actually, you know, difficult. The twins took forever.
[spoiler:04dbfdc445]Although that's largely due to the fact that I was trying to purify them. Stupid ~10 second cast time[/spoiler:04dbfdc445]
[spoiler:04dbfdc445]Taunt is useful for that fight. I'm not sure whether or not I should let Swordy McBoobs activate my Vampire Killer just yet though, for some reason the fact that it didn't happen automatically leads me to believe that something bad happens if I do it.[/spoiler:04dbfdc445]
You can make money easily outside the Desert portrait - the room with the five Persephones? Just use the LUCK UP spell. Frilly Camisoles drop often and sell to Vincent for 2450 each.
And the quest reward glitch is easy to exploit if you are lazy.
I need the Nun Shoes to complete a quest. But more importantly, I've beaten four paintings and now seem to be unable to explore any further into the castle. I need to be able to like... jump and crouch simultaniously or something. Unless there's a way to turn on that lift...
Jesus Christ, the [spoiler:6973cab586]Belmont fight[/spoiler:6973cab586]
is kicking my ass. I've got the Golden Axe and Holy Mail, but he's still wasting me easily.
Nebula
Yeah, I thought of that, but I'm concerned that its low damage will make the fight take too long (and thus I'll still get hit too often).
Still, worth a shot.
[spoiler:6973cab586]Anything that does holy damage will be less effective against him. The trick to fighting him is timing jumps with a heavy weapon. Jump, slash so you land the him as you fall. If you time it right, Richter will whip over or under you. You still have to duck at times and dodge his skill attacks, but the jumping method worked for me.[/spoiler:6973cab586]

[spoiler:3bb8dbc6fa]I used the Jet Black Whip, which worked pretty well. It's a spacing game, and you just need to learn to keep your distance and let him walk into the attack. Also, something ranged like the Javelin lets you keep him in a knife-throwing loop and never have to see his nasty whip, until you run out of magic. Save it for when you're hurting and need to use the Healing Mail for a while.[/spoiler:3bb8dbc6fa]

What good is this roll move that Wind teaches you when you already have the slide move?
Also does it hurt anything to have all his training missions activated or should I only do them one by one?
Well, you can pass through things with no damage. Meaning you can run around like a maniac, dodge through somebody, knee kick them in the back of the head then stand there and laugh at what a defenseless doof he was.
The roll is cool once you get the controls down, but it doesn't compare to the knee thrust That move is awesome.
All this talk makes me want to start a martial arts only playthrough! Nothing but fist weapons, spiked boots and maybe the rocket slash special move for offense.
It will make me feel like a ninja.
And concerning Wind's quests: Keep as many as you can on! Heck, you may solve one or two by accident!

You don't need to have the quest to solve it. I already solved a few before even picking up the quest.
Edit: sucks about items like the longsword and thick glasses.. needed for quests, but you can't find them again? Boooo. I hate cluttered inventory screens, so those are all sold.
I keep seeing people asking where to find...
[spoiler:09d18f1c8d]the nun's items. Well, here you go. The nun's habit is in the main castle, near the entrance to the Sandy Grave painting. Right above the painting room is a save room, and right across from the save room is a larger room containing the habit (bottom left corner). The nun's shoes are in the City of Haze. Take the teleporter to the far right side of the map. You'll be in a teleport room right above a save room. Go down and to the left into a larger room, and bust through the ceiling. Finally, the nun's dress is also in the main castle. In the room just to the right of the Nation of Fools painting entrance and to the left of a save point, you need to bust through the ceiling again.[/spoiler:09d18f1c8d]
Doesn't the online shop option basically wreck the game? It seems fairly easy to just buy tonnes of stuff from that instead of finding it in-game. I really don't think I will be doing the online shop any time soon. Of course, this may be all wrong, but this is the impression that I got.

I think the shop is balanced by totally sucking ass and being hard to use
Without friend codes, it just throws you into some random shop that's likely to have nothing but crap for sale. And then it disconnects you after you leave said shop.
You don't lose the items you sell, you can't set your own prices..... Even worse is the fact that there's no crafting system, so even though there are a lot of items to find, it just results in the shops being cluttered with the same old crap.

But, with a friend code, can't you just buy shit back and forth over and over, generating an unlimited number of items, without any expense at all?

Items are set at 80% of the default shop's price (items that aren't sold in the shop still have a price equivalent to their value).

But doesn't the other player get the money, despite not losing the item, or have I just been grossly misinformed?

Yeah, you keep the items. It's not as if it's super exploitable or anything. You can't set the prices. I sell a sword to my friend for 1000g. What am I going to do, buy it back (essentially buy ANOTHER one) for 1000g? It's going to vendor for half its original price to the CPU, and since I bought it for 80% of the original price... Unless I'm missing some obvious math here, it's just not going to work. There's far easier ways in-game to make money anyways.

Hahaha. HAHA. I finally upgraded the vampire killer. I beat it only using pies. Easiest way I've found to do it.
Pies? Explain! I've been cursing that fight and the retcon that allowed it to exist all day.
In City of Haze, there's a hidden room with a skill to throw cream pies. For some reason, they work well while allowing you to easily dodge his attacks.
