There was a cute geeky girl in my GameStop today. Not just 'oh hey this girl is dorky but kind of cute in that she's a healthy weight and has all her teeth'... very cute, but stereotypically geeky. I felt like 'that' guy, balding and 40, giving her the :winky: look. I don't care, though, she was cute.

do achewood detractors at least acknowledge that it has some inherent quality/effort in it?
or do you think it's as insipid as CAD or whatnot
I think that just about every webcomic has some sort of inherent quality or effort implied. Some have quality I can appreciate (like Penny Arcade). Achewood doesn't strike me as funny. Sometimes I smile at the unique voice (sentence formation, I mean) he gives his characters, but rarely do I actually go "ahaha that was clever and good!". I just find it a little endearing but not impressive or 'good' at all.
I used to like Achewood in a general sense, but as both it and I have grown older I've found that I find more and more of the strips -- both recent ones, and older ones -- to not even be worth reading. There are still some Achewoods I really like, but even the ones I like most have fallen out of favor in some non-zero amount. I mean, on the other hand, I stopped following all of the webcomics I used to, except for Penny-Arcade. So maybe it's just me.

It's gotten to the point I really like Fluxx if we've got a couple sets or some homemade cards shuffled in too. The base game isn't wonky enough. I'm still always up for it though, or Chrononauts.

Yes, and the terrible writing, completely unrealistic dialogue, characters that can not be remotely related to and a plot that can be best called meandering.
Oh, also the art is pretty shit, though it's slowly getting better.

I acknowledge that there is art.
I just do not see it as humor.
I have some ideas already, but was curious if anyone might have a better one (as my ideas typically suck).
So. You get with that?
Yeah don't leave us hanging here man.

That's when your threesome detector should have kicked you into overdrive.
I've never pressed it.
I know! Hence, I really want to introduce it to Japan. But, I told my teacher I'd try to review some grammar at least.
Hm... maybe I could just have them play it for fun at the end of class...
How did it go? One stack of "adjective" cards and then a whole shitton of "noun" cards?
Disappointing.
I think so, I only played it once, and I was kinda drunk at the time.
I didn't score any points.
I read something about promising results like what they claim to be able to do.
Terrifying, really.
It's true. I've won every game I've played.
Well, I'm also reading this grunkriegger court thing or whatever.
I just finished like..chapter 14?
It's finally getting to the point where I don't feel like stabbing myself in the brain as I read it.
This is the thing with blurry implied lesbianism?
Do you mean Fluxx?

Whatever, sure.
It really has just gotten pretty lame over the last 6 months or so.

I am intrigued based on the title alone.
Thank you.
Realizing that it's an ant. It didn't just land there, it had to crawl up my head
Edit: This is only after playing for a very long time. I'm usually good for a game or two.

You better believe if I'm coming that I'll be dragging a good 5 or so boardgames with me.
Obviously you are not consuming enough alcohol.
