Seriously, some of us are doing nothing at work. Please spoiler that. Or remove it. By burning it. Through the internet. Its by the grace of some God I wasn't sure I believed in that that image has been banished to the bottom of the last page.

I am one of those bored at work, and looking over move sets and stuff. I never have tried the DHC.

I usually only do Hyper Combos by hitting the 2 Assist buttons at once. To pull off a Triple DHC, that must mean that after pulling off a Hyper Combo manually (not using the 2 Assist buttons), that guy automatically retreats off and your next appears? Is that right? Or are you actually doing it, swapping, doing the next, swapping, ect...

Also I have the sudden urge to really go home and master Omega Red. I see very little of him online and like my teams unique...

You have to do the Hyper manually (not using both assists) and then input the command for the next Assit Hyper while the first is still going and then repeat for the third.

You do one hyper combo motion and mid-way through character #1's hyper combo, do a hyper combo motion for character #2 who then appears and does their hyper combo. If you're ballsy enough (and have the opportunity), do a third hyper combo motion to bring out character #3 and do their song.

There's no requirement other than having enough levels to use them. It works to keep pressure or to correct yourself when you've missed entirely with #1's hyper combo.

I would be, I'm tired of online matching tonight. Lost 6 in a row to the same stupid crap. Sentinel/Akuma support, while blocking they port in behind me with strider so I can't do anything about it, combo pain. Alternatively, super if the assist hits. Makes me want to just play sent/mags/storm.

Well, point is I wasn't having fun and even rage quit, because I simply couldn't get around it with the team I enjoy playing (Jin, Hulk, Sakura). It basically came down to assist spamming anytime I tried to get close and either ate it or was forced to block, and even then ate it. Either that or just sit there and block all day, Sentinel assist is so retarded. -,-

Work at 9am tomorrow, so I might have to make my play time tonight short. I am done at 6pm tomorrow though, so I should get plenty of play in tomorrow night.

Tron assist isn't broken, it just hits really hard.

And I'm not quite sure what's being described with "while blocking they port in behind me with strider". You mean you're blocking and their Strider teleports, or they're blocking and they call in a Strider assist while blocking?

All you have to remember for those is to block away from their main character, even if their assist is coming in from behind you. Ideally, don't be standing idly by in a position for them to do that. Get in the air, get on them, get back to the wall, whatever, but identify crossup teleport traps before they occur and mess up their plans before they can implement them.

I've been looking on YouTube. But if there's top level play there, it's very well hidden. I mainly just want to see matches involving people who I can give tips and advice to without having to deal with the wackiness that is YouTube comments.

What I meant was, he would spam Sent assissts, and while I was blocking them his strider would port jumpkick in behind me (It's a move he does) so while I'm in block animations with the sent assist he hits me in the back of the head, then proceeds. The only other annoying guy spammed Akuma assissts when I got close, and if it even tagged me it held me long enough to get a super in the face. That's not as rage inducing as the sent though, there's really not much I could have done about it. Jump ins were tried, and were mostly pain since strider is pie to launch someone with.

I messed around with this game for the first time tonight. Alot harder than I thought it would be. I can do all the single person basic combos, but the timing is crazy for some of the trickier ones. Also I find it hard to find places or videos actually helping me with this. All of it is just combo videos which are ok but are also tough to understand. Anyway, my team right now goes something like Strider as point man, with Doom and Ironman. Or I start with Ironman to gain meter then switch out to Strider. Dooms anti-Air assist is pretty sweet.

Well, once you start blocking his drones you should be able to push the joystick forward in anticipation of the teleport. They hit quickly enough in succession that blocking the first one should block the rest. Your counter options to that mostly rely on your own team's composition. Most good teams have at least one anti-air or clear-out assist. Block and call out a clothes-explodey Jin to knock back Strider or Akuma. Or something to that effect. You can call an assist out, block a move, and have the assist arrive on screen while you're blocking to do whatever it is they do. The only time the assist will abort is if you get hit before they arrive.

Personally, I use an anti-air Cammy assist. Invulnerable on the way up (or until it hits something).
    mxmarks wrote: »

The key to fighting Cable is to understand his zone of control. A horizontal rectangle in front of him. Don't do anything punishable in that zone. If you have to call out an assist, do it then get behind him so the assist isn't in that rectangle as he recovers from blocking it. Furthermore, get above him or below him and he's significantly less threatening. His assist you still have to worry about, but those you can learn to counter. Overall, block more. And if you can manage to get him to waste his meters on blocked supers, he's not much of a threat without a charge.

Does this game have record/playback functionality? And has anyone here YouTube'd any of their matches?

Well, not sure how much better the Roll and Servbot play can get, although low HK repeatedly seems to work against a whole lot more people than it should. When I play Roll, I usually cancel the sweep into her Roll Buster to cover it. Tron can be a fairly solid character, and could equip a few more useful tricks.

And Mike Z's Tron is about the tricksiest I know
