I think someone mentioned the Wii version of The Force Unleashed. It was my understanding that it is closer in build to the PSP and DS versions of the game than the 360 and PS3. Understandable given the power difference between the Wii and the 360 and PS3. They do offer up exclusive levels for the Wii version but I think they dialed back the physics etc so the Wii could handle it, which is really the point of TFU on a next gen console.
I have to say that while TIE Fighter was good and was probably a better game on many technical levels than the X-Wing game. I personally preferred X-Wing if for no other reason than my unending love of the A-Wing. It should also be noted that both the X-Wing and TIE fighter games absolutely ruined games like Rogue Squadron and Starfighter etc. for me. The inability to tinker with my shield, engine and laser power output was just something I couldn't deal with for whatever reason. That and I felt more like I was on a rail with the Rogue Squadron games for some reason. With TIE fighter and X-Wing you certainly felt the space.
I desperately hope that Space Sims will re-emerge in some form or another. From X-Wing to Wing Commander. I actually just recently un-earthed my old copy of The Price of Freedom and thought for a moment of two about installing it regardless of the fact that I lack a joystick.

Maybe someday, they'll see a hero's just a man. Who knows he's free.
Man there are so many needed sequels for Star Wars. Republic Commando 2 should be Imperial Commando. You could also use Kyle Katarn in it and have it be about his hey day being an Imperial.
I also wouldn't mind a space sim but I think that the Rogue Squadron games were more in tune with Star Wars style battles. BattleFront 3 was sorta in development but it was going wierd places. Had some kind of zombie evil Obi-Wan.

The only two SW games in the pipeline I'm seeing on wiki is a DS and a Wii game.
Re-installed XWA. Bummed to find that it wouldn't respond to my oxbox controller hooked up via usb. Think I'll hit Frys and grab a cheap stick.
Was checking out xwaupgrade.com. Am I missing something or am I really supposed to download and install each individual crafts upgrade?
Yeah, you really have to download every one. It's a real pain in the ass, especially when some of them don't use the fancy installer program than many of the others do.
They stopped packaging them all together because people would harass them about when the next package would come out, and I guess this pissed them off.
Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

I get nostalgic every time I hear some of KotOR's soundtrack. That game was so incredibly brilliant, taking all the best parts of Star Wars and ignoring everything else.

Looking through my Rogue Leaders: The Story of Lucasarts book, there was a planned sequel to Republic Commando, which was called Imperial Commando. Never got past the planning stages though. There was also a couple other interesting ideas they had for some SW games, one called Smuggler, which then turned into a game idea called Scum and Villainy, and a game where you played a Wookie called Rebel Warrior, all of which apparently had ideas which went into Force Unleashed eventually. There is also some very dark looking initial concept sketches for a planned Knights of the Old Republic 3 that got cancelled.
bought my first SNES at a pawn shop last weekend. Found all the Super Star Wars games at a used store for 15 bucks the same day. Think I'm gonna start Super Empire Strikes Back this Sunday. I expect a lot of cursing and anger.
Never played the RTS's or the RPG's, so my list of favorite Star Wars games won't feature some games that I'm certain should be on any list of best ever, but hey...
Star Wars (arcade 83)
Jedi Outcast
X-Wing Alliance
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Star Wars Arcade (Sega)
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Atari 2600)
Episode I: Racer (Dreamcast)
Lego Star Wars
I have a soft spot for Shadows of the Empire, solely because it was one of the only N64 games I had for about a year and a half, and I played it whenever I got bored of Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Plus, Joel McNeely's soundtrack was just as good as John Williams', and I almost never got tired of the Hoth level, or the Skyhook finale.

Katarn defected right out of academy
Maybe he had an on-the-job internship.
I seem to recall that he did go on one mission. He met Jan Ors for the first time and spared her life. I also think he got a medal for that mission...from Jerec of all people. He defected soon afterwards.

As long as we're wish-listing, I want a SRPG. Valkyria Chronicles meets Wraith Squadron, or a Silent Storm-type could work too.

Super Empire and Super Jedi are both not very aggravating. However, Super Star Wars is indeed anger and curse inducing. The sandcrawler levels, both inside and out, are terrible. Also, the Cantina is a bitch. Oh, and lets not forget the falling rocks from the sky during the Tatooine levels before and after Obi-Wan.

There was a sick mod for Battlefield 1942 that got released unfortunately about a month before Battlefront called Galactic Empire or something- it was fucking awesome and better than Battlefront to me. When a server filled up you got some intense fucking fights going.

i remember this. it was a really terrific mod and the official game wasnt even anywhere near it
I disliked the solo play aspects of the Gamecube's Clone Wars, but damm, I loved the multiplayer, the tank fighting/tower defence (wrong use?) bit in particular. A couple of friends and I spent many dozens of hours playing that through college. I was almost tempted to buy an Xbox just to get the extra maps their version apparently had

Oh right. I don't remember that level being hard at all.
Edit: In response to the video, not to the Emperor lightning thing. Perhaps I ought to dig my SNES out and play Super Jedi. I'm pretty sure I played it the least of all 3 Super games.
I have beaten all three of the Super Star Wars games for the SNES.
It is my greatest accomplishment in videogames, next to beating Battletoads on the Genesis.
That said, I started playing KOTOR again on Friday. I'm up to when you leave Dantooine and my planet of choice to start was Tatooine, why? Well ya know, HK-47. But my question more relates to the Swoop races. I keep seeing dialogue about upgrading your swoop and buying parts for it.
Was this scrapped but they left the text in?
I completely don't remember this the first two times I played through that game, when it came out in 2003, but I'm seeing text for it and I don't see any way to do this or any parts to buy.

I thought they are making a Clone Wars game for the HD consoles. Not sure where I read that though.
(Please do not gift. My game bank is already full.)
I have not heard of any games outside of TOR.
That being said, here is my wishlist of games that I want them to sequel:
-- Jedi Knight
-- Republic Commando
-- TIE Fighter
