Well, at least until it comes out on Thursday, I guess.
I'm kinda' worried about that whole slo-mo thing, though - since everybody in the game is probably going to have it affect them, it could get mighty annoying after a while, so hopefully they'll have a server or vote option to disable it.
But asides from that and that apparently the VA crew consists entirely of two people I'm mighty glad I took the risk.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, and the gunshot boots. Definetily going to replace that wav with something else.

Man, those videos are weird. I first saw some of the West London map and was starting to hate it...
...then I saw the Biotic Labs one and fell in love with it.
Those guys in the video just stayed in the streets mostly, which I thought wasn't too interesting. There are, in fact, lots of buildings you can go into and hold up in. There's a church and even a skyscraper (at least in the mod), as well as tunnels and other areas. But yeah, the Biotic map is pretty cool.

L4D sucks IMHO, and there is a void in my heart where a flawless zombie shooter should be.
This is coming from someone who prays every day for a zombie outbreak.
Also from the dude who was the first recorded PAer along with Flippy_D, sirtoons, and littleboots, to beat all four CO-OP campaigns on expert.

Those videos make the game look too easy, I hope it's harder.
I'm almost 100% positive that the devs in the video we're playing on either easy or normal. Since the mod was much harder and I doubt they changed the core game that much.
Please note that the first set of videos depict a 'short' match on normal difficulty, and the second set a 'medium' play through, again on normal difficulty.
So I guess there is at least a long length and hard difficulty package with the game.

Yeah, the short match had only three waves, while the medium one had seven. Maybe a long match would be ten waves. It'll be fun to try and survive that one.

Except if you've played the original mod and then watched the gameplay footage for this, you'd realize it's not. The gameplay principles are the same, of course, but a lot has been changed and for the better. For instance, in the mod you moved as if you were wading through mud. That made things quite frustrating at times. The animations, from players to enemies, was quite honestly horrible. Those two problems have been thankfully rectified. And not to mention the new graphical engine, redesigned monsters, more monsters, more items, redesigned levels, etc. Those changes make me more than a little excited.

I don't know, some cosmetic updates don't make it a new game. After watching the videos I have to say I'm less excited for it than I was before (which really wasn't much at all).
