Hey is there anyway to cancel a quest? I accepted the Oakfield massacre, though I would like to not do that. Normally I would just ignore it, though that would mean not having access to oakfield ever because of the nature of the quest.

Do the alternative to that quest (helping the temple of light instead) and it'll get removed from your list.
How is that possible? I don't see it on my quest list, and oakfield is in evil quest mode every time I travel there.
Ah you must have gone past the point of no return for it then. In that case your only choices are following through with it or leaving Oakfield alone completely.

Frankly, the Fable games are so damn easy that you really have no reason to cheese the game.
I thought cheesing Fable games was the point
The problem, in my eyes, is that there's nothing to gain from cheesing the game since pretty much anything dies from a harsh glance from your character. Maybe I'm just weird but I'd find the game far more fun if there was something to aim for when I cheese, such as a really powerful boss or a badass dungeon. Something that the Fable games sadly lack. Hell, Fable 2 was pretty much several steps back when it came to fun boss encounters.
Checked out some videos from Pax. The game play looks fun and saw a spell that creates a cloud that rains frozen swords, pretty sweet. The art style is begining to grow on me and I'm actually looking forward to this one.
I just want spells that are more than just the same single target and aoe spell with a different graphic. I loved lightning in the first game but in the second it was just awful.
So, just finished Fable 2. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. But I am hankering for some more info on what exactly is going to continue on in the save file.
Choices like your spouse, if you were a bigamist, or if you had 20 children. I just want to know if they'll ignore most of this and have your character marry some random person for some random reason, political necessity or some such. I can't be the only person that wants to make a perfect save file to match the story I have in my head before heading into 3.
The children I had in the game are obviously going to be dead by the start of Fable 3, what with all the master long swords and turret pistols I give them as presents... I am such a terrible parent, but they love me so much for it!
Your character in 3 is an decendent of your character in 2. I believe that what they said. They also announced that the Evil King is your brother. And he has the same name as the bad guy in 2. I think they have some Zeldaidice going on.

It's not just a descendant, it's your child.
See the Future spoilers:
Theresa says that your child (who hasn't been born yet) has a great destiny that involves Aurora and Albion.
The bad guy from 2 was Lucien, and the bad guy from 3 is Logan who apparently does something nasty to your
parent/s to usurp the throne.
We know that the save is carrying over, we just don't know exactly what it will change.

Thanks for clarifying. I heard the Logan name and just got confused. Still a little wierd that they can't come up with something a little different.

Alright, beat the game last night (after like, a year break from the game) and now I'm running around Albion tying up loose quests, and... how can I earn 1,000,000 gold to buy castle Fairfax? Should I just get a job and grind it out?

Renting out property. I'm surprised you haven't gotten into that racket by now already.
Buying up Inns and Shops and such is by far the most lucrative thing in the game, it makes getting millions of gold wholly trivial.

So you know how we all helped each other out in Fable 2, with the co-op achievements? Dollcatcher, the expressions, and we had Fyre lending people money - such a happy community!
This baby making achievement could destroy us. I can picture the posts now.
"Hey I still need the babymaking achievement, will anyone HAVE MY CHILD?"
And then once the child is born, it gets all tense.
"You havent come into my game at all, and the baby is taking up all my time."
People will be demanding child support. Chaos.

On a more serious note, I have mixed feelings on whether I should get Fable 3 or not. I like the idea of ruling a nation, and I see the roleplay possibilities in that, but I need to see the combat. I probably won't get it on release day, first I'll rent then see. Also, whether it be DLC or some future game, I think they should add a duel arena component to Fable, like WoW, let you bet on matches and fight for the top.

well, I was wondering if there could possibly be an achievement more awkward than the badge of honor for having sex 25 times... in a game. heh.
the king one is kind of weird too, but man. wth.

“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
I am looking forward to getting this game in a month.
I hope the combat is better that 2 in terms of enemy types and the respawning in areas. I'd like to have more of a Borderlands experiance when going into someones game and having a chance at one of the legendary weapons if we go and clear a fortress or whatever.
In 2, once you beat the quests there was no more action out side of hunting down really week bandits, etc.
There are three preorder bonuses, only two of which I can be arsed to remember because the third is hella boring. All three are a weapon plus a tattoo set.
Gamestop: You get a mechanized sword that looks kinda like a Chainsword that once belonged to Reaver. It gets bonuses from being a douche. Just like Reaver. You also get a tattoo set that looks like a bunch of cogs and gears.
Best Buy: You get a sword made out of crystals attuned to Will, the sword channels your Will through it for magical effects. It was fashioned by Garth in his later days. You also get a set of crystalline themed tattoos.
Other Place: A hammer. Used by Hammer. So fucking boring.
FURTHERMORE
Limited Edition (Pre-Order or not): New weapon, new dog breed, new quest, new region. Fable themed playing cards, good/evil flipping coin.
Will the limited edition be available at bestbuy? and do we know if the preorder bonuses come with the limited edition?
Also, anyone ever just find that buying the game from the store regardless of preordering usually gets you the items as long as it's within the same week?

Yes and yes. If you preorder from Best Buy you need to do it from their site. I already preordered my Limited Edition from Best Buy, they'll e-mail you your ~preorder goody codes~ at or around launch date.
Oh, also kickin' rad: It's confirmed that your Will lines will synch up with and cause your tattoos to glow in Fable 3.
