I think it was less that and more the need for a more united Albion. The old Queen apparently was unable to gain the loyalty of the various factions of Albion.
Like Reaver Industries.
Fuck you Reaver.
That reminds me, Peter Molyneux really really really doesn't want us to kill
Reaver...
Neither do I. He brings such a delicous flavor to Fable. He's the Frank N. Furter to our Hero's Brad/Janet.
It's beginning to get a bit suspension of disbelief breaking though.
In Fable 2, he tried to kill you MANY times and was obviously a pretty amoral bastard. But at least there you apparently needed him to access the music box.
In Fable 3? He tries to kill you, headed a fucking Balverine Cult and is perfectly willing to just murder citizens in the street. There's no sensible reason for a good aligned king to not want this fucker dead and gone.
The writing is so damn good. Taking things much slower the second time around, not diving right into combat is rewarding when you hide out and listen to some bandits arguing philosophy and metaphysics
I'm fairly far into the game, king now, and had just finished the Sunset House "quests."
On a side note: mother fucking hammers. There are 50 unique weapons in this game and I swear its determined to give me every single version of the weapon type I have NEVER used. There appear to be all of two unique swords in my Albion, and one is Mr Stabby (which doesn't exactly gel well with my kind and just king).
After applying the update, the mini-games seem to stutter a bit and have input lag. Anyone experience this?
I've noticed it there and other places besides. Seems like between the graphics, NPC A.I., voice acting, and all of the little systems running in the background that they pushed the Xbox a bit too far.
I don't know, I've been amazed at the game's ability to tank the framerate when there is absolutely nothing discernible going on on-screen. Like literally I'm in the middle of the woods with nothing around me and we're in super slo mo.

Ok i think i'm in some trouble and need some serious help.....
I am the king, was given a quest to stop a robbery in the Bowerstone Market Pub. I go there, and the merc attacks me, so I kill him. Now I can't leave the pub, I can't fast travel. When I go to load it just takes me back inside the pub.
Is this a game breaking bug, or is there a way around this?
So I'm having a puzzling little situation: My Stature is up to two stars despite the fact that I use no hammers whatsoever. I use swords and liberal liberal quantities of sorcery.
What the deal is? I'm okay with how I look now, but I'm concerned about beefing up much more than this.
My hero is at 5 stature, and to be honest, I haven't noticed anything. He looks pretty normal compared to NPC's. Maybe if I had a before and after shot I might see it. But he looks more or less normal.

Yaaay, while loading for the final battle the game starts autosave and is now frozen. I guess I'll restart and see if its borked. If it is, that'll be the fourth time I've had to restart and I think I'll just call it quits.
Turns out there's a fairly easy trick for duplicating items in this game. Gonna have to take full advantage for legendary trading.
Speaking of, I've got the following weapons available. A * denotes you should be able to get it in your world no matter what, but hey, maybe you don't want to find all the gnomes or be evil and remake the Dark Sanctum.
Hammers
The Tenderiser*
The Hammer of Wilmageddon
Trollblight
Faerie Hammer of the Moon King
Aurora's Shield
Swords
Avo's Lamentation
Thunderblade
Slimquick
Souldrinker
Mr. Stabby
The Merchant's Bodyguard
Rifles
The Sandgoose
The Shrieking Pilgrim
Arkwright's Flintlock
Swift Irregular
The Hero's Companion
Ol' Malice
Pistols
Gnomewrecker*
Tee Killer Shooter
Desert Fury
The Bonesmasher
Holy Vengeance
Mirian's Mutilator
The guide states there are only 26 weapons to be found in your own world, so I'm three short at the moment.
Well, a few (more than three) weapons I have at the moment that are not on your list (and I haven't even arrived at Aurora yet, much lest beat the game)
Hammers
The T.Y.P.O.
Mallett's Mallet
Dragonbone Hammer
Swords
Wolfsbane (which I think is one of those "always there" weapons: Have you done the Silverpine Curse quest?)
Beadle's Cutlass
Rifles
Simmon's Shotgun
The Equaliser
Facemelter
Pistols
The Ice Maiden
And Dragonbone Hammer, Mallett's Mallet, and Facemelter are all purchasable at the blacksmith's: the first at Bowerstone, the latter two at Brightwall
This quest is bugged, I stop the robbery but then end up stuck in the pub while the quest for some reason stays active. I can't fast travel or leave the pub, and it says I'm still in the middle of the quest. If i restart my xbox I'm taken back just before the quest, but when i start the quest the same problems arise.
Is the hero morphing bugged or did Lionhead really hit the brakes on that feature? My hero has 2 in Strength and Stature and I can't really tell if he's changed from his original looks.

There should be a letter/audiolog for you to pick up that continues the quest.
They pretty much slammed the brakes through the floor of the bus, yeah. You start off around the same size as the other normal npcs and become progressively taller and more beefy, but not to the point of hulking out like in 2.
It's much less noticeable if you level stature and strength equally, as you just look proportionate for your size for the first few stars until you finally notice, hey, these people are small.
I've only got magic at 2 or 3 stars, but I can just faintly see some magic lines around the eyes. Real faint, I only noticed them during extreme closeups on my face.
I have reached the point though that, whenever I charge up a melee or ranged flourish, I suddenly sprout glowing ley lines on my body and clothes. Don't know if it's related to the magic stat or not. Gotta say though I much prefer it this way, having the lines show up when I'm charging up a big attack. Versus just walking around town looking like a Tron reject.

I've maxed out strength and stature/skill, and have only progressed a little bit in terms of magic, but magic has made my guy look like a geisha. His skin is incredibly pale, he has feminine markers around his temples, and he's wearing eyeliner. Blue eyeliner.

I've read the Ben finn journal, and picked up the rare book on the second level. Besides that I can't do anything else. Also, there was only one mercenary I had to fight, he says "have at him, fellas" but he's the only one I have to fight. I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

I actually checked this after I noticed my strange looks, and I didn't. It's purely from magic use.

Would anyone mind spoiling for me how to get the Brightwall Village Demon Door open? Do I have to look for a villager with a certain personality trait or is it possible to bring a kid over to him?
EDIT: Do your looks changes based on your morality? I.E Blonde= Good, Black haired= Evil?

Bring one of your kids. Biological or adopted, either works.
Edit: I don't believe your hair changes, but I know my skin was pure white as a good/pure hero.

I wonder if I could take the hand of my own child and then take her to the demon door to open it up, since you can't lead other children (that would probably be creepy). I'll have to try this soon.

My hero is at full strength/stature/aura and still looks fairly normal. Clearly THIS GUY IS THE HERO, LOOK HOW STRONG HE IS, but nothing like Fable 2.
Same here. My wife's character started out quite a bit taller, though. Like, a full head taller than me or any other character in the game (she is almost as tall as the "badass" mercs). However, her stature is only 3, while mine is 5. Weird. Probably another bug. :P

Wolfsbane is part of the LCE, or so I'm told. I didn't list it because it doesn't count towards the achievement. I you PM me a list of the weapons you want, and a GamerTag, I'll get them together and we can do a bit of trading.
If you've got a King's outfit, I'll trade you a Queen's outfit for it too.
So my new guy (The old one didn't bug out, I just beat it and moved on to a new character) has Swifts Irregulars from the Brightwall shop. It should just about be upgraded by the time I reach the fort. This is going to be so much better.

Is that the rifle where you have to get a score of 2,000 from the mortar mini-game? My best score has been 1910. I have no idea how I would ever manage 2,000.
I should play some more co-op today, too. A rifle I bought is co-op orientated. I'd love to level that up. The Champions Companion or something? I believe I bought it last night in your game.
If my mic is indeed dead, though, I'm going to be pissed. I just bought this headset.

Still if this is only Stature 2, I might just have to stop using guns. I'm already really tall. More than this would be...bizarre.

But you can morph them into axes. In fact, the free downloadable hammer seems to do that automatically at Melee 3.
