It seems like it would be super-hard to Airblast an arrow back with any effectiveness. Rockets are only sometimes useful because of their splash damage. For 25 ammo it's a risk.
But maybe one of the Pyro's super-weapons will be a reduced-cost Airblast flamethrower.
You'll probably see reflect-huntsman-kills about as often as you see reflect-sandman-stuns, which has happened to me as a scout all of one time and was pure luck (I fired the ball around a corner and it was reflected by a pyro also walking around a corner; there was no possible way either of us knew the other was there)
^^^ sniper rifle headshots aren't instakills either; they just always crit and since even a semi-charged shot does a shitton of damage they're usually fatal - for proof see: undercharged headshots not killing a heavy

It won't be quite that hard, Snipers are slower and more predictable.
Depending on the damage from a body shot, it's possible it's better than the sniper rifle at close range as well. Valve did say they wanted to find some way to get snipers closer to the front lines.
We don't necessarily know that there isn't a zoom yet, but I would say it's a safe bet that it doesn't zoom in.
I don't see how it can zoom in, unless the Sniper hat is a bionic eye.
It could be him holding the weapon differently and a slight zoomin, similar to how weapons with ingame sights work in some shooters (non-scoped rifles in WW2 shooters are a good example- they use the sights on the actual weapon and pull the camera forward a bit usually)
My guess is that the uncharged damage will be higher but the charge will not have as huge an increase.
Say arbitrarily the sniper rifle deals 20 damage uncharged and 150 damage fully charged. So the bow could deal like 60-70 damage uncharged but only 90-100 damage charged. That's still enough to kill most people on a headshot.
These are not actual numbers, just getting my point across.
The arrow, the wall and you.

No, the Huntsman doesn't stun. It pins dead/dying players.

I am not looking forward to getting stuck to walls. I do however welcome all additional challenges from snipers since they are pretty much free points anyway.
I'm just excited to be able to play Sniper slightly effectively at mid range. Staying back gets boring, and I don't have the skills to snap headshots up close. Also smg is worthless.
There was also an e-mail from Robin btw confirming that the body-pinning is only corpses:
The Huntsman doesn't have any stun-like capability. Killing an enemy who's standing in front of a wall will result in their ragdoll being pinned to the wall.
Sorry for the confusion, we're just having a bit too much fun pinning our co-worker's bodies to the walls in compromising positions.

They should make a droppable variation to the bow.
How about when you pick up ammo from fallen players, you get special ammo of whatever type you pick up.
Like a demoman's grenade launcher gives you explosive tipped arrows. A medigun lets you shoot teammates and heal them. Rocket launcher makes every shot crit, because that's what rockets do best.

And then there could be an achievement for killing someone with a critical hit to the dick.
I think that this will be like the FaN, a weapon only slightly different from the normal weapon, with a minor gimmick to make it a bit more annoying. A few people will play with it, and annoy the crap out of the class it is most successful against. (Which was FaN=Scout, Pyro, Sniper, and with the Bow=Scout, Pyro, Sniper, see a trend?) But ultimately, won't do much to change the play style. I could be wrong in that last aspect though, depending on how close people need to be to use it effectively.
Well medics usually manage pretty close up to people with 150 HP, so I can't imagine a 125HP sniper a bit further away would be that much worse off - but to some people they're also higher priority, since for some reason people consider being headshot once in a while a bigger threat than an invulnerable/triple-damage heavy/soldier/demoman who regenerates.
Minty, you aren't allowed to talk about a game you can't play. Go away.
I play this everytime I go to sleep. The laugh of Asiina, the waits for Rak, the crits provided by TK, the accusations of people having ballsacks for faces by Ginger and yes, the wise old sayings Roland gives to us so that us young wipper snappers can have a healthy, fun and wholesome life. So don't you dare tell me I can't play this game!
Anyway, my net is probably going to bugger up a bit so I'll see you in a week.

Cause insta-kill every second is just silly.

No, snap headshots are hard as hell because of the zoom, probably easier with this. And with this you can do fully charged headshots at midrange.

Greatness.
Still hilarious.

It'll have a low magnification scope, and instead of arrows that pin, the arrows explode a couple of seconds after getting lodged in a target.
They can call it the Tek Bow.
I'm imagining a gag reel like from that one Simpsons episode of that one minor character getting hit in the crotch with a football over and over.
Except with arrows instead of footballs.
someone already posted about it
you lose
And it has to be a countered achievement.
Making my Ty/Flip DICKSHOTS more effective.
I can also do an all snoipah run that works, especially on CERTAIN MAPS VITH HEELS.

ed: best totp since the last one
Yessssssssssssssss.
Perhaps a small HP boost (+15?) might help, but we'll have to see what kind of damage the thing does first.
Suck it!
EDIT: I actually empathize with you poor snipers. Seriously. I mean, the FaN? Almost as crappy as this bow.
