I really don't like that White Queen teaser cover. She looks mildly drunk and her tit's about to pop out.

That also looks like a crushed pop can in her hand, rather than a visor.

Anyways, I was thinking last night. I kind of hope Rogue (with whatever powers she has now) meets up with Moonstone-as-Ms. Marvel and kicks her ass before Carol is "resurrected". Especially since Rogue had to live up to what she did to Carol in the last issue of Legacy. I think it would be a cool bit.

Though I'm not sure what reason Rogue would have to, but still.

To be fair, that's probably the only way she can tolerate half those people. Seriously though, how does Osborn not expect this to go badly? Even the fucking Hood is more powerful than him.

Osborn is well and truly fucked. Emma has an alliance with Namor, who has an alliance with Doom, who has an alliance with Loki. The Hood could give a rat's ass.

Faynor, there is a reason USAgent is in the middle of that photo, because he is the center of the Marvel Universe. Oa can only hope to be like John Walker.

I will not accept flak from someone who uses Land art for his sig and avatar. You will not win this.

I would like to see Rogue fight Ms. Marvel in the X-Men/Dark Avengers crossover; that would be a nice page or two of continuity nod. Fraction is writing the crossover though, so eh.

Well, honestly Doom doesn't really care as long as he has Latveria in the end, and Loki's fucking everyone over because that's his nature. I mean, Hood is pretty fucked too, but at least he has a chance to escape before it goes down.

The New Avengers fight a frost giant in NYC with Thor's help.

It seems to be a simple introductory issue to the Avengers as we know them.

I'm still not sure if I'm comfortable with Marvel using Greek mythology without having an entire Greek series of books. What's Zeus up to? Where are Athena and Hades? I like all that shit, and would probably spend some cash on it.

    Zeus is crazy, Athena is
    pretending to be
dead, and Ares is being a dick.

Oh joy, I can fucking read. That's DC. In Marvel, Hera's being a total bitch. It's in Herc.

To be fair to Ares he's only really a jobbing dick. He was a carpenter until the avengers fucked up his cover story and basically forced him back into the super-heroing business to pay the bills and take care of his son. Not that he's doing a very good job of the whole parenting thing as his 10 year old son seems to have wandered off and joined the Secret Avengers without Ares noticing.

I don't think it's a big deal that Phobos is hanging out with Nick Fury and fighting secret wars. Ares would probably be proud, in fact.

Still, it'd be nice for Bendis to acknowledge that Ares knows he has a kid.

The FCBD Avengers issue was very good. Simple jump on story that was told through Spidey's pov, and was centered mainly on Ares. Ares and Thor seem to be very cordial to one another. Some nice lines in it, and Spidey and Ronin play off each other well. It did have too many characters in it, as Spider-Woman and Mockingbird have one line each.

What was weird was nothing in it about "try these books or trade paperbacks, at your store today!" such as a checklist.

Better than Blackest Night #0, and other than the lack of trying to get people to buy more Marvel comics was the best use of a FCBD I've seen yet.

I thought it was alright, but you could easily have told this story last year with the Mighty Avengers in place of the Dark Avengers. The two teams face each other down, fight a common foe, and then they decide not to fight each other because they can instinctively sense this isn't a crossover.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to suddenly start reading comics after picking up that book either.

I said I wanted an entire line of books, not one book that sometimes has other characters from the same world. I'm talking something along the lines of a Marvel Greek line, being at least the size of the Ultimate line.

No they are not. They're being jerked around by
    Loki
And the basic purpose right now seems to be nothing more than to prove that Hank Pym is worth reading about.

I can't confirm this, but I'm pretty sure Osborn shit his metal pants at the end of Dark Avengers #4.

Because I was caught up in the manic glee of FCBD, I also picked up Ms. Marvel #38, partly because I wanted to support the store I was in and because I will cheerfully stare at the ass of any woman wearing Ms. Marvel's costume.

    What surprised me was
learning that Carol Danvers is 'dead'. And this happened where? An X-Men book?

I mean, fucksakes. I read all three monthly Avengers books. You think someone could have told a brother.
