Shipping Magic cards and D&D minis

I'm shipping about 35 D&D minis in a lot (mostly the plastic ones and a few metal ones) and also about 500-600 magic cards as a lot.

What's the best way to ship all of this stuff? What should I put the magic cards in? I am mostly clueless about selling/trading things online

Can't help with the minis, but when I sold all my Magic cards about 8 years ago I just cut up some comic book boards and lined a cardboard box to form a smooth edge, then cut the box to make it fit tightly around the cards.

I hope you made sure to accurately charge for shipping, cards are very very heavy.

For the minis, I'd use bubblewrap.

bubblewrap the minis, for the cards they sell boxes made out of cardboard that are designed to hold magic cards, use those. it will keep them safe from pretty much anything shipping would throw at it. you might also want to consider throwing any rares/non-land holos in a deck box, sleeved.

I used to work at a UPS store, and the way we treated minis was to, as suggested with everyone else, is bubble wrap them. Get a length of bubble wrap, carefully wrap a miniature, and then tape it so the wrap doesn't fall off. If you find a box that's wide enough to hold the minis in one layer, then lay down a layer of peanuts, put down a sheet of bubble wrap, and then place the figurines neatly inside the box, and sprinkle peanuts in between the minis and also outside of them (between the minis and the walls of the box). If you don't have enough peanuts you can also use crumpled up paper. If your box doesn't have enough area for one layer of minis, then lay down the peanuts, wrap, etc, then the minis, then some more peanuts all around and a layer on top of the minis themselves, then another sheet of bubble wrap, and then your next set of minis (hope that isn't too complicated). It's a lot of steps, and it might not be necessary for you to be as careful as us, because we are (sometimes) liable for damage.

wrap bundles of magic cards in paper, and tightly put some tape around. Holds's 'em together as a solid block.
minis: i wrapped 'em in tissue (individually) and put those together in plastic box with a snap on lid (like a plastic icecream tub).
add some extra tissues or paper towels to the top or bottom as extra padding.
