What would you pay? -- Wii bundle - Lock please
FiggyFighter of the night manChampion of the sunRegistered Userregular
I'm going to be selling by Nintendo Wii along with all the crap I've collected for it over the years. I play the thing maybe once a month, despite still wanting to buy new games/accessories for it. It will be nice to get some cash in hand for something I've more or less grown out of.
Anyway, how much would you pay for this bundle? Should I not sell it as a bundle? I'm thinking Kajiji, but if you guys have better suggestions I'm all ears.

Everything is 100% like new condition, adult owned. I have the boxes and manuals for everything (including the console, GH3, and wiifit)
Problem with selling things as a bundle is that most people want some of that stuff, but not all. So you need to price it with the understanding that most buyers don't give a shit about 50% (or less) of the stuff that's in the bundle. Consider that your convenience fee for not having to sell everything separately.
As an alternative, you could list all the game disks on Goozex and basically never have to buy another game again for the rest of your life (this assumes you have another console).
I think that the most you'll be able to get for that all is $500. Most people just don't want to drop more than that at once on a video game console. Your best bet might be listing it on eBay and seeing if the price takes off. If you broke out the games, you'd get a bit more either through trading them or selling them by themselves on eBay or wherever.

Sell the rest (pairing the Fit, Zapper, Guitar Hero with their software) individually, for the same reasons RUNN1NGMAN listed. Here's the logic...you obviously can't get rid of the VC/WiiWare. Selling the controllers/cables separately is probably going to be more trouble than it's worth. Everyone who has a Wii buys it with WiiSports included, so bundle that. Also, in my experience Mario Kart Wii is the most popular game for the Wii, so bundle that too (then you don't have to worry about unloading wheels).
I'm not good at pricing things but I'm not sure you'll get more than 300 for the bundle I listed. As far as the games go there's other people who know more about how to get rid of those than me.
I hear PC gaming is huge off the coast of Somalia right now.

I think I'll take your advice and break up the items, but your $300 quote for the bundle you created is extremely low. I'm seeing lots of ebay auctions with bids for more than $300 that have far less than that..
I guess it's a hit or miss deal and it all depends. I live in a commuter/soccer mom town so hopefully one will want to make their little Jimmy really happy :P
Hey I'm selling a Wii as well. A lot less stuff though. I feel like a dick for posting this here, but I've been having a hard time trying to think of price. I have friends asking me for one already.
You guys should sell your wavebrids seperately. A while ago those, in good condition, were fetching a pretty penny.
Also, to increase your return? You could make genre bundles. Sell the system and some of the trash games as one unit, The nintendo games as a nintendo bundle..The sports games as a sport bundle. Then maybe party games.
Just to clarify, I would break it up because, as others have said, not everyone cares about everything. If I were in the market for another wii or something that package would be sweet. But I have a wide variety of tastes. A lot of people hate sports games, a lot dont care for "kiddy" games. Might increase return to sell things to certain demographics than everything to one.
Also: Major League Eating.
WTF, man.
@Dave, you could probably sell all that as one bundle since it is fairly small. Used wavebirds are going for 25 bucks a pop on ebay, so it might be better to sell those seperately.

Major League Eating was not my fault, I swear! My girlfriend was fucking around on the shop channel and wanted to buy it.
I've gotten a few offers so far from a Kajiji listing, so this is fairly promising.
So far: $550 for everything and $300 for the Wii, Wii Fit, and the extra remote/nunchuk
I'm gonna sit on it and see what the next few days brings. Ideally, I'd like to see $800 for the entire lot.

Hell, half the people I sell it to don't even know it goes online, they just want it for "that bowling game" or Wii Fit.
Try pitching the bundle on Goozex, like someone above suggested. At least there you can get a comparable trade that you'd be happy with.

I just sold the console, extra remote, extra nunchuck, classic controller, and wii fit for $350, and the games will be trickling away one by one.
