OS X Photo to Video work

I took a whole host of pictures that I would like to make into a sort of time-lapse video. I find iMovie 08 only allows me to reduce frames to .3 seconds and won't let me batch edit the photos. Can anyone recommend a program that will let me accomplish these things?

    Quicktime Pro can import an image sequence (they have to be named sequentially) and assign a length to each frame.
