Trying to find out the correct lyrics to this song.
All the lyrics sites seem to be off. Has Kevin Shields ever mentioned it in an interview? A book? SOMETHING?
Close my eyes
Feel me now
I don't know how you could not love me now
You will know, with her feet down to the ground
Over there, and I want true love to grow
You can't hide, oh no, from the way I feel
Turn my head
Into sound
I don't know when I lay down on the ground
You will find the __ __ hurts to love
Never cared, and the world turned hearts to love
We will see, oh now, in a day or two
You will wait
See me go
I don't care, when you're head turned __ _ __
You will wait, when I turn my eyes around
Overhead when I hold you next to me
Overhead, to know the way I see
Close my eyes
Feel me now
I don't know, maybe you could not hurt me now
Here alone, when I feel down too
Over there, when I await true love for you
You can hide, oh now, the way I do
You can see, oh now, oh the way I do

this seems right
except I hear "you will find the hand that hurts to love"
It's funny that so many lyrics sites just completely omitted those few words. Great song though.
Anyone know of any actual hard proof? Directly from the band? Sometimes bands have books where they do this.
It's just nagging at me.
Suffice to say, there's no official source for any MBV lyrics, and my transcription (which a lot of MBV fans have told me they think is accurate) contradicts a lot of others, so all I'm probably contributing is more confusion, but...
x Feel me out
x I don't know;
x But you could not love me now
x You will know
x That I feel tied down to the ground
x Over there
x And I want you, love, to know
x You can't hide
x Oh, no
x Oh, the way I do
x Turn my head
x Into sound
x I don't know
x When I lay down on the ground
x You will find
x When the head's down oh so low
x Never care
x When you're holding us in love
x You will see
x Oh, down
x Oh, the way I do
x You will wait
x See me go
x I don't care
x When you're head down all alone
x Either way
x When I turn my eyes around
x Over there
x And I'd hold you next to you
x Overhead
x To know
x Oh, the way I see
x Close my eyes
x Feel me high
x I don't know
x But you could not love me now
x Here alone
x And I feel down too
x Over there
x And we made true love from you
x You can't hide
x Oh, no
x Not the way I do
x You can see
x Oh, down
x Oh, the way I do
This is exactly what I was looking for I'd take that over someone who just uploaded it to a lyrics site. Thanks a lot! Sounds right to me.
Actually...this is what it sounds like to me...
especially the "That I see you" and "the way that I do"
Is there any more information available about this song? How it was recorded and such? I read somewhere it was a bunch of layered overdriven guitars through a marshall, and an acoustic as well.
