you don't need fucking brackets to say what your goddamn thread is about
just say it in the title
i hate stupid thread titles hate
ohoho you're so witty i shouldn't click that many times to know what it's about
There's quite a lot of threads going at any given time of the day. It's pretty easy to overlook one that isn't clearly named, unless you feel like checking each and every one of them just in case.
Of course, the search function would probably be a lot faster.

as the person creating the topic that already knew what he was looking for to see if a topic on the subject existed, yeah, he could have searched
but as a general forum peruser looking for a thread that might have a topic i'm interested in, it'd be nice to know what the thread is about
but i shouldn't have to read the OP to know what it's about
i should at least get some idea of what it's about before going into it
hell, even the quick first few lines you get from hovering over the thread title doesn't tell you what it's about
Seriously. There is a reason why people post "New comic thread" when they are trying to beat the robot. If they post a quote from their favorite episode of King of the Hill a mod won't even check that thread before sticky-ing the other.
"I think you'll find that I have no testicles - May 8th, 2009"
pokemon gold/silver being remade -> this game came out years ago -> Don't call it a comeback, its been here for years
I don't see the problem here
so is turtles in time
so it could have just as easily been about that
and both are kinda awesome
again, I don't see the problem here taters
the problem is i never would have read shoe's thread at all because i had no idea what it was about and didn't care to click into a thread that had a high probability of being either about wrestling or cartoons from 20 years ago
I vaguely remember Shoe posting a South Park thread and the title was just mentioning a random character who only appeared in one episode 6 years ago. I was not thrilled by that bullshit.
Or the Heath Ledger's death topic that had Batman in the title. So many people posted topics about the actual guy, but we were supposed to magically go "batman -> batman movie coming out months from now -> Heath ledger is in it -> how is Heath Ledger feeling right now -> Oh shit, he is dead"
Posts

all i see is stupid threads with stupid titles that don't say what they are about

You live up to your name. Soo in a way, that makes it a success?
I don't see the problem here

and then i finally got pokemon blue and brought it home and played it on my green game boy pocket for hours
i still love you, bulbasaur
and i thought i had got it before it got super popular
and in a sense i did because frankly it wasnt a big deal then but it was in nintendo power so it must have been something
and both are kinda awesome

I stopped after gold and silver. I hear crystal was retarded and lame. Is this true? I can't think of anything cool from that generation.
Go back to Hot Topic
the problem is i never would have read shoe's thread at all because i had no idea what it was about and didn't care to click into a thread that had a high probability of being either about wrestling or cartoons from 20 years ago
Maybe?
