She may or may not have something to do with 'an ancient evil stalking the corridors of the Enterprise.' And also with ' a force that began with possession and madness, and ended in murder!'
Also I'm betting she's changed her name from Koriand'r to something equally awful.
Lost Salient on
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN
the extremely heavy-handed in-movie explanation and assurance that this is a separate continuity
Not nearly heavy-handed enough. Especially since the issue that most brings up the question (what happens to TOS-through-Nemesis), isn't explained at all by Uhura's explanation.
Following the events of the film Star Trek: First Contact, the Enterprise, while returning to the 24th century, is diverted to the 20th century of a parallel universe by a powerful time traveler called Kang the Conquerer. There, they encounter the super-powered mutants named the X-Men, and assist them in fighting Kang's plan to remake the timelines of every known universe. If these two groups of heroes fail – history itself will change forever!

I haven't seen any of the orignal series episodes so I didn't know they were copying the original character's voice
I think I will pretend filipino's explanation is correct so that I don't have to wince every time Chekov talks
As long as we're bringing up printed ST, I'm guessing this is a sequel to the novel?

Spock is the Kwisatz Haderach?
nope, that's kang's entire concept, so why not use kang?
so they use kang
i prefer when comics do that
why make up a new character to fulfill exactly the role filled by an existing character
just look hard enough, man
The Klingon or the Conqueror?
for the all of like handful of issues he showed up in the beginning

Death Count is probably my favorite Trek book.
Basically, my childhood was all about going to the library and reading every pulp Trek, Star Wars, X-Files, whatnot, paperbacks.
