This reminds me of Battle Royale. It's set in a hypothetical fascist Japan. Every year one 3rd grade class gets taken to an isolated island given a backpack and a weapon and told they have to kill each other. Some get machine guns, others lawn darts....

Hope I didn't get the lawn dart.
Lawn darts would beat what I have....

Also, there's no downside to attacking, correct? I mean, attacking in no way affects you or your defense? Actually, that deserves a clarification: If you attack someone, do they automatically counterattack?

I guess you missed the old topic title.

Battle Royale and Saw are both acknowledged references, in addition to this being themed off Secret Game.

    I got the harisen. =/
The Smash Bros version of a harisen, that is...

We could quickly find out a winner if everyone just attacks the person under them in the list :P

Maybe we should all gang up on you for suggesting such a violent plan that pretty much only favors a serial killer.

While we're out it we should just list all the rules we got so everyone knows them all and we are all on an equal footing. Except for the guy with a Railgun.

While the game isn't balanced, I would imagine that those who have knowledge of the more...interesting rules to start probably have harder win conditions/worse stat/worse starting equipment.

At least I'd hope so, because other having terribad stats, terribad equipment, and a hard win condition in addition to knowing the two useless rules would just suck.

Would it be more appropriate to simply announce which rule numbers you possess, then people with duplicates could double-check each other to ensure they were on the level?

On second thought, that probably works a lot better in my head than it would in real life.

Rule 3: If anyone mentions the name of any character from Battle Royale in the thread, their collar explodes that night.

    OH SHI-

Remember, right now the rules are one of your strongest tools, for bartering, surviving (and winning), and confirming others.

Making a public rule list eliminates many of those. You lose half your assets.

We could quickly find out a winner if everyone just attacks the person under them in the list :P

I know this plan was a joke, but how would that even work? (As in, how would a winner be determined?) I don't know about you, but I doubt I'll be able to one-hit KO anyone...

Are staircases linked through floors and considered 1 zone for movement or does it take a movement point to go up/down a level?

Do staircases labeled as the same zone on different floors count as the same for AoE attacks?

The same staircase on different floors is considered to be a single zone, and does not require movement points to go up or down. If you go to zone H or K from floor 1, you will automatically be considered on floor 2. Conversely, if you were on floor 2 and traveled to zone H or K, you would then be treated as being on floor 1. If for some reason you want to go to a staircase without actually changing your floor, specify this as part of your move order.

Area attacks against a staircase zone will affect all people in that zone.
