Whatever arc you're referring to hardly has a monopoly on Nazi Zeppelins. They're in tons of stuff.
Red Skull presiding over America after the war isn't, though.
It was a real good arc (Dave Gibbons wrote it), and played the angle that it was actually the real timeline, and that the Marvel timeline we all know and like was the one Steve changed at the stories end.
That looks pretty reminiscent of the only good MK Captain America arc, "Captain America Lives Again!"
Brubaker copied the nazi zepplins and everything.
honestly i really enjoyed that very first arc where cap fought terrorists and revealed his secret identity. there was a great bit where all these bystanders are watching cap fight some terrorists way up on a dam and from their perspective it looks like cap is retreating and this one woman goes "Is...is he running away?" to which some dude yells "Running away?! Lady, that's Captain America!" *cue cap completely wailing on some terrorists*
edit- i haven't read it in a few years though, so maybe it doesn't hold up versus bru's run, but i always remember that scene.
I wasn't aware Rick Jones maintained his personality in his A-Bomb form (or if Pak changed it, good on him), but I really like that line. Pak's Hulk is great.

Probably evil versions of their New God counterparts, just as Dr. Impossible is evil Mister Miracle. I say good. I liked the sketches for new new gods that JG Jones made, and it would be a shame if they abandoned them.
And I know you were being sarcastic, but it is kinda annoying how Meltzer's left so many dangling threads, so I'm in favor of JLA writers picking them up.

If
Mr. Miracle
is coming back that gives Bagley someone to really mimic his Spider-Man stuff
Wait, can a primate fire a pistol? Even with an opposable thumb, I thought their weird little fingers couldn't wrap around a weapon and squeeze a trigger.
I am totally confident giving a loaded revolver to a chimp.

Detective Chimp would like to have words with you.

Detective Chimp can go suck on his banana. Ain't no ape gonna take a shot at me!

Now, if I were home right now, I would feel the need to quote Jay's extensive rant about monkey sex from Chasing Dogma, but alas I cannot.
DEADPOOL #20

“WHATEVER A SPIDER CAN,” PART 2
Deadpool and Spider-Man team up (yes, team up) to combat the unstoppable killing machine known as Hitman Monkey!
Yes, Hitman Monkey.
I guess I don't really understand why - if you're going to go with Hitman Monkey - you don't just go ahead and join it up into Hitmonkey. "Hitman Monkey" sounds on par with, say, "Flies And Punches Guys Man", or perhaps "Is Really Pretty Good With a Gun Kid".
Oh, don't get me wrong, he's a fantastic character, and it's always great to see him face off against "Doctor With An Anti-Laser Shield That Has A Small But Exploitable Flaw In It"; I just think that the name is a tad... expositional, shall we say.

That costume is beastly-cool.
But that to be the 'evil' version right?
Are you referencing that Evil Avengers preview thing? I'm pretty Wendell isn't one of them, he's going to fight them in the issue.
How did he get his body back? Did I miss something?
Ah. That explains a lot. I DO love the new costume.

unless it is set in an alternate universe
So there's that. Not sure how long that's going to last though with the Fall Of The Hulks story happening soon.
EDIT: A penciled version of JLA #42 popped up at DC's preview site. Didn't take them long to bring them back in some fashion.
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)

Or just Hitmonkey

Maybe Marvel acquired the rights to Six Gun Gorilla and decided to retool the property.
