Okay Melbournians, who's interested in doing poop?
Basic sunday-type plan, estimated cost $50 and up:
1. Hit up a dim sum place in chinatown with an 11am start.
2. Once fed we can go to Cookies for fine beers.
3. Watch something horrible at Hoyts and ruin the experience for other moviegoers.

god forbid people partake in activities that require exposure to the sun for prolonged amounts of time
I think to be fair you still need to be careful about what you're doing... Australia is sort of under a big gaping hole in the Ozone, as most people seem to forget. Our Sun here is a tad more dangerous than the sun you'd get over the other side of the planet.
oh yeah, fair call. but to write off tanned skin completely is stupid - like viv said, you can still get a tan when you use sunscreen.
if you'll read a but more carefully, you'll notice that I was not writing off tanned skin, but sunbathing.
I prefer pale skin, but to do nothing but sit out in the sun for hours in order to turn yourself brown repulses me.

yeah I don't know if I've ever sunbathed
usually I get a tan by swimming (you actually tan faster in the water than near it) or by being outside at a park on a picnic and I'm naturally running around in the sun and stuff

it's more they're at the beach swimming or whatever
i went to the beach with my sister once and i gave the sunbaking thing a go
three minutes later i got bored and went to splash around in the water like an injured seal

also when I trained competitively for swimming I had two training suits (one clear open back, one racer back) and one competition suit (the zip-up neck-high aqua blade suit)
Synth you know I'll come. Near the end of semester at the moment though. I think June 1st is the last day I have anything due, and my exams start on the 22nd or 23rd. Some time in between would be sweet for me. I promise to have a shave and cut my hair back a bit.

Mr Orange, I would like to join you on this endeavour.
I'm a chilli beef type guy when it comes to Chinese food though so this dim sum thing will be slightly scary.
Number Three is the reason my brother and I rarely go see movies together.
Whenever we watch a movie I'm reminded of the Monty Python Sketch with the pepperpots watching a movie.
We could go see an awesome movie instead, or any other suitable activity. There will be no negotiation on the beer though, and dim sum is varied enough that you will probably find something to enjoy. The only problem is that yum cha is really better when there's more people around, so that you get to try out more stuff.
June seems far off enough yet that people can get their stuff together in time.

I've thrown down 30th May as a tentative date for the movie night, it is HIGHLY negotiable, so let me know what you think
since it's an all-afternoon thing it pretty much has to be Saturday... Sunday has me playing AND coaching volleyball for at least four hours, and that's if I'm lucky enough not to have to do officiate a game as well!
