I find it sad that many things around in my childhood are far from sacred anymore.

I just watched ABC's yearly showing of Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. When I was younger, my family would all gather round the TV and watch this, Rudolph, and Frosty every year. I couldn't help but notice that a couple songs were missing, mainly "If You Sit On My Lap Today", and that song Jessica sings. The song that happens when Mr. and Mrs. Claus got married was cut in half.

What the hell? I've been watching this special for years and saw no reason to cut anything from it. This show has been around for years, why edit it now?
