Liked the watermelon at the end. They always have to put something like that in the trailer at the end.

Game looks sweet, but so did MGS4 and I hated the demo. But hey, slicing and dicing. That can't go wrong, right?
Also, what's with people thinking that's not Raiden? I know the MSG games have plots crazier than a room full of otters on LSD, but c'mon. It's obviously Raiden, dude looks just like himself.

except he doesnt, looks similar but is different, its the hair mostly, looks exactly like the hair his kid is sporting in mgs4.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be compatible with Kinect, Hideo Kojima.
The game puts players in the role of returning character Raiden and is based primarily on sword combat, which is controlled by the newly-named motion controller.
“I felt it was important for my team to come up with something new,” said legendary developer Hideo Kojima, before the game was demonstrated during Microsoft’s E3 conference.
The game’s producer, Shegnobu Mastuyama, claimed the combat was based on the concept of Zan-datsu: Zan being the Japanese for ‘to cut’, and ‘datsu’ meaning to take. A trailer was then shown demonstrating the brutal cuts that can be made in battle.
The game is not confirmed to be an Xbox 360-exclusive, so Rising could be heading to the PS3 and will presumably use Move. No release date was given.
Not surprising. I'm assuming as the game is also coming to PS3 it will also be compatible with Playstation Move.

His hair is different? My god, he must've been the third shooter in the Kennedy assassination.

His hair doesn't look that different. Don't jump to conclusions!
Hey, I'm still pretty early on in Peace Walker, and I'm just curious about soldier stats. Is there a way to improve their skills (R&D, medical, etc.), or do you just encounter soldiers with better stats as you progress through the game, and just start replacing lower rated men when your teams get too full?

So Raiden's son is also going to be in an unexplained disfiguring accident which will cause him to be outfitted into an exoskeleton which is supported by white blood?
EDIT: Also, it's already been confirmed for PS3. I'm also hoping for traditional controller support...
I don't doubt classic controllers will still work with the game, (especially since it'll be on PC as well) but it looks like it'll take advantage of Move and Kinect.

I've been wondering this myself. It seems like you can improve their stats by using them for optional missions (like Ive been doing with some of my soldiers in the combat group). I think the rest improve on their own? Maybe someone who has more hours in the game can comment on this.
I can't imagine it'll be a full port. 3DS fact sheet confirms cards will be 2 gig max at launch. (Assuming I'm reading it right, and it's 2 gigabytes and not gigabits as specs tend to use...)
Konami is producing a version of its hit PlayStation 3 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the Nintendo 3DS. The demo showed a first-person sequence in which all sorts of crazy things happened to hero Solid Snake, all playing with the 3-D effect: Knives flew at the camera, and a massive alligator snapped its long jaws.
In the second half of the demo, Snake walked across a bridge and avoided enemies in his usual style. While we couldn’t control him, we could use the analog stick on the 3DS to adjust the camera and see the 3-D scene from many different angles.
No idea if that's any indication of what it may be like. Reportedly Kojima has also said the demo was just him messing around with 3D.

That's some pretty awesome slicing.

This is what I want to know.
From how the trailer looks, it would have to be played with a controller. How do you roam around freely and make quick, precise slices with Kinect?
You are the controller. You kinect with the game.

I'll buy it again.
If it's a semi sequel and like MGS 3 definitely shall buy.
See, now this excites me.

First off, that's Big Boss' Peace Walker model, so this isn't a flat out port of MGS3. Also notice the Threat Ring.
I read this from NeoGaf: Take as you will.

this is what I want
And you'd be surprised how much smaller assets can be sizewise when you only need to display 3.5" of it.
That is true, didn't think about that. And yet the screens look like they've got the full resolution textures of the original if not better.

I never asked for this!
Aren't game publishers meant to know what they publish?
That was probably Wired's mistake.
