Ahaha, the Penguin Complete Collection weighs 763 pounds.

    How many books is that?

    1,082 books.

I remember having a few of those books as a kid.

Can't remember what they were though.

    Yeah. I got it unabridged.

    Great book.

Even the portions that are not strictly relevant to the overarching plot are enjoyable and interesting.

Italics is preferred for long works

    Short works in quotation marks

Throughout all my schooling I've been told books are always underlined. Are you sure this is not just a difference in preferred style?

    Underlining is acceptable, but old-fashioned

I think it was something to do with typewriter limitations

Well, I don't want to sound like I'm so deeply wounded by their criticisms when I'm in a relatively advantaged position- I've already put in the time and I'm in very good shape and excellent health. Saying "olol it sucks when people get on me about my pecs of steel" sort of feels like being a white guy who enjoys every advantage then bitches because of something like affirmative action.

It just annoys me, this fitness thing in my cultural acquaintances (work mates mostly, I guess). Someone at work wanted me to chip in for some grievously unhealthy pizza full of bacon and ranch and stuff, and I opted out. He ordered the food for himself anyway but took me aside in a patronly manner and went "dude just do what makes you HAPPY", and I told him that the benefits of not eating that stuff made me happy. He shook his head sadly in this way that spelled out "wow, this kid is so mixed up" and walked away like I was a brainwashed teenage girl who stuffs her bra or something.
