So, Goddamn, people actually use Playstation Home?

I got an e-mail informing me that a limited edition 'apartment' was available on Playstation Home. I, a sucker for all things free and limited edition, jump on to claim my free shit. The 'apartment' is creepy as Hell, by the way. There's a tree with a face in the middle of the room, and the faces turns to look at you as you walk by it.

What struck me as most weird, though, is that there were.....people on Playstation Home. Chatting. On a Thursday night. There were several different groups of people having conversations, text conversations, typing with their controller (based on how long it took for them to send messages).

I've been using Home since earlier in the beta, and I never once thought people would regularly use this as some sort of social tool.

It also reminded me of this article: http://www.penny-arcade.com/2008/12/12/

To summarize, Playstation Home sucks, and I'm in disbelief that people use it to have genuine conversations.

    from the rules thread
It would be a good idea to avoid hitting the new topic button for a few days unless you've got something staggeringly interesting to say. If you're making five new topics in your first hour YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. It is also inadvisable to make your first post a new topic.

lurk for a while before making another topic, and be sure to make it one about which people have something to discuss.
