New antivirus (comodo) makes computer run slowly

FlayFlay Registered User regular
After my NOD32 trial expired, it was clearly time to get some new antivirus software. I went for comodo. However, after installing the program and restarting my computer, it seems to be running noticeably slower. I've checked to see if NOD32 is completely gone, and as far as I can tell it is.

There's another problem. Despite the fact that comodo is installed, I continue to get the bubble appearing from the system tray stating something along the lines of 'your computer may be at risk; no antivirus software installed'.

Could anyone offer any help?

Are you sure you have the full version of Comodo and not just the firewall?

That bubble is probably just Windows thinking that you don't have antivirus installed. It doesn't know for sure. You can turn it off by going to Security Center in the Control Panel, clicking "change the way Security Center alerts me," and turning off the av warning.
