Anyone else here watch USA Network? I've been seeing promos for a new show they're airing this summer called Royal Pains that looks like it could be quite good. I tend to trust that network with new shows, given its track record. Promo here if anyone wants to take a look:
I caught Burn Notice toward the end of the last season. I am probably going to check out next season, see if it can hook me in. At first the style of the show was a little off-putting, but it actually kind of pulled me in, and now I'm looking forward to see if next season will be able to keep my attention.
If it does, I will definitely check out Royal Pains, as it seems like a unique premise for a medical show.
Not to hijack this thread, but the new season of BN is going to be sweet. Mike is in some deep shit. I bet all sorts of crazy spies start coming out of the woodwork.
Yeah, I'm with you on BN. It's actually liking Burn Notice so much that's making me want to watch Royal Pains. I think USA has a really distinct personality when it comes to its shows, and tends to pick really good originals. In general I like most things there, so it's one of the only places on TV where I can safely say "If it's on this network, I'll watch it."
Plus, Mark Fueurstein FTW.

This is my reasoning for watching it as well. Plus it has Paulo Costanzo.

What do you know him from? I think I saw him in the few Joey episodes I've seen, but I'm less familiar with that actor. He seems like he's really good at the comedic timing, so it'll be a good foil for Fueurstein's straight man. USA does the funny man/straight man comedic duo very very well.

The problem I have with it is that I want every person I saw in the preview to die screaming.
Not that you feel strongly about it, or anything. Do you know the actors from other things or something? I can see it not being someone's cup of tea but it doesn't seem offensively bad. Granted, I'm looking forward to it, so obviously I don't see whatever it is that pisses you off.

Also, I hate summer-rerun season, so, yeah....
