Somehow I missed the "we will give you a trophy" part of the Jarate ad. I thought Flippy was just dumb.
And it turns out that you were the dumb. So much dumb.
you're like a child that wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know what's going on
No, I'm like that child which tells the inbred drunk upfront that he's got the plot all wrong
And the drunk, consumed by shame (partially his long-running agony at being an inbred freak but mostly shame over being corrected by an obnoxious child) hangs himself. To rapturous applause.
Basically it is funny when you get things wrong and think you know things, let's all laugh at Sith
I'd rather just post a generic sex with mother joke because I'm old enough to be your dad.
I'm expecting the update to be delayed a day or 2 so I'll be happily surprised when it drops at midnight.

THAT ROLAND IS A SPY
It's just occured to me how horrible this may end up being for heavies. I mean seriously, both his hard counters have updates out. He'll just sit in spawn and cry bitter, bitter tears.
And then the snipers on his own team will throw urine jars over him and he'll have a nervous breakdown

I agree.
I've been playing heavy less and less lately. My downward spiral was really noticable about the time the spy cloak buff hit. I'll admit it was also because I finally got a decent connection and leading rockets became possible. As the updates keep coming out his lack of mobility makes him more and more of a poor choice except under certain circumstances.
I'm still not sure what the point of adding the ability to remove weapons was. The backpack has 50 slots and after all classes have gotten 3 weapons and a hat, that's still only 36 slots used.
The problem I have in those situations is I feel honour bound to play something else
If I can persuade someone else to go heavy, I enjoy running around as a soldier or pyro and covering both them and their medic buddy. I got so many goddamn kills during the scout update when I was a soldier.
They'd Sandman the heavy, run up to him point blank, and stand still long enough to be effortlessly juggled to death with a couple of rockets.
Part of the problem of not having a dedicated class role is that I never know what to play from the point of view of the team. I am a jack of all trades and a master of none!

So I predict that the shield and jarate both replace the submachinegun, the watches both replace the watch, and there will be a melee unlock for both classes: golf trophy for sniper and some kind of different knife for spy.

I am thinking the razerback will replace the Melee weapon and the Jar will replace the SMG. As for the Spy, he gets 2 watches and the gun. Every other class before this update has only received 3 unlocks, so it begs to reason this will be the same.

You mean "stands to reason."
And there's no reason they can't start giving more than one unlock per slot. The inventory system seems like it's built for that.

It doesn't seem likely that you'll be able to use multiple kinds of watches at a time, but on the other hand one of them is a pocketwatch so maybe it's used in a different way than the regular right-click-cloak variety. The unlocked watches' effects don't look like they overlap, also.
No class will go without a melee weapon. That totally runs contrary to Valve's design that everyone can fight back in some manner at all times.
I don't see how a class loses their ability to fight back if they don't have a melee weapon.
If you ran out of ammo, and replaced your Kukri with a jar of piss, you can't really kill with that.
Deeply humiliated them, causing them to spiral into deep depression; spurring nightmares of jar based karate until the day they die, yes. But kill, no.
maybe you can back up into people really hard wearing the razorback
I still like the idea someone had earlier of when you select the razorback the sniper holds it in front of him, offering some damage mitigation and the ability to bodycheck people with the shield.

But the class is topping the kill charts on valve's stats page, so maybe it's intentional.

Oh no! You went there! And now there's no going back...
2Snipers1Jar
or
2Snipers1Spy
D:D:D:
oh god what have I done
It already is.
A MAN sandwich.
??????
We still have one reveal left. We didn't see the Sandvich until the last day either.

"It begs to reason" is a play on words. "Beg to differ" and "Stands to reason." It was pretty widely used down south.
So does being stunned, but the Sandman still happened.
Me too. I'm terrible at the game, so I've only unlocked the flare gun for the pyro.
south what? california?

Melee weapons don't tend to run out of ammo.

Okay, so if you have even a minimal amount of foresight you don't lose your ability to fight back if you don't have a melee weapon. :P
someone has never played on 2f2f
In the entire time I've played TF2, I don't think I have ever once completely run out of ammo.
The only case I could see it happening is if I was playing heavy, and had swapped out the shotgun for the sandvich.
