I didn't mind hunting down the templars because fuck those guys

The flags did suck, but all they unlocked was achievements anyway

So basically you are saying you need to be lead and lack the imagination to utilise the tools and freedom a sandbox game gives you.

Best thing to do in that game is completely turn off the entire hud. Every piece of it.

    Figure out everything yourself.

Throwing beggars into stalls and watching things fall on them is only entertaining for about five minutes.

I didn't say needing to be lead in a game is bad. It's just entertainment.

I'm just pointing out he's different to the people who liked it.

I don't play games. I play the game in my head and make the game I'm visually watching match up to it.

So sandbox games are great. I can think up any number of different ways to play assassin's creed and then the game lets me.

I can be murderous altair, sneaky altair, careful altair, random picks a target to assassinate altair, runs away from enemy altair, kills every enemy altair.

Ever time I repeat an assassination I try to make it unfold a different way.

This is pretty cool, I mean. Being able to have all these options if I want them.

But someone who likes to kill x y z finish objective and have the game explicitly tell them what they can do. Games not for them. (This is allowed. You don't have to like a game)

One cool moment, you know those people with pots, you knock em over and they start haranguing you?
Well this woman started so I turned to her and pressed the button to bring out the assassin's blade. Shink it comes out. She cut off mid talk, stared at altair, and ran away.

    I'm like. Sweet.

Plus combat was excellent. There were so many ways to play it. You could be all methodical and block and charge them. You could wait and counter them. You could lead them up places and throw them off. You could lead them into alleys so they can only fight you a few at a time. You could knock em down and then switch to blade to finish them off.

If you were really damn good you could do this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mRMw24xs2I

I like the game but the combat is best.

The climbing wasn't even fully automatic. There were a lot of places you could get to with manual platform thinking. You didn't have to do this.

But you could. And like I said, I play my own game and want the game I'm playing to match up.

    You uh.

You need to go and play in a sandbox.

Go to a park, and play in a sandbox.

    Once you have done this.

You wil realise why what you just said is so goddam stupid, arrogant and narrow minded it defies belief.

Sand is fucking sand man. You can't do anything with sand unless you make shit up. Anything at all.

Telling off a sandbox game for that indicates you don't understand what a sandbox game is.
