With cold water and other colors.

EDIT: And if it is 100% cotton, let it air dry or it will shrink.

Is there a tag with care instructions/symbols or at least the material it's made of?

    Rogue helicopter?
Ecoterrorism is actually the single largest terrorist threat at the moment. They don't usually kill people, but they blow up or set on fire very expensive things.

is it a white shirt with a red print? two different coloured materials stitched together?

I don't know about the states, but over here in england you can buy (in any supermarket) these "colour catcher" sheets that you put in with your laundry and it catches any colour runs. It totally works, i have days when i just can't be bothered with sorting, and i just stick all my stuff in at the same time with one of these sheets and i've never had a problem. I mean you're best off taking care obviously, but these sheets work for me and my lazy laundry habits

Anything marked machine washable with bright colours is designed to be washed with colours, even if it has white.

Otherwise you'd have to wash different sections of the shirt separately, and that'd be odd :P

It may be meant to wash with other clothes but be careful. If you have new clothes that you need to wash, then wash them separately, because if the color on those bleed it could stain the white part of the shirt. Otherwise, just follow the instructions on the shirt tag (usually warm or cold wash; cold if you're not sure)

We have those state-side too. Here they're called "Color Catchers" (just diff spelling). They work very well.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
