Video Compression? [SOLVED]

Does anyone have a free program that compresses video (to be uploaded on youtube) that doesn't leave a giant watermark in the middle of the screen? I've tried to find some but they either have bad reviews or giant watermarks....

    Might be up your alley. I've used it for other things (not for uploading) but I think it would do what you want.

    Hmm... i think I've got it working and converting, but the finish file doesn't want to play correctly.

    Any idea why that might be?

    Oh I fixed the problem myself- Apparently i selected a format that VLC couldn't run properly.

    @Barrakketh: Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if this other one starts acting up in anyway.
