I thought the auto-dismount and cast thing didn't work if you were flying. I know it won't let me dismount while flying and stealth just by hitting the stealth button.
There's an option that enables it for flying mounts too.
Personally I have a macro that dismounts me for stealth only. Then I just have to hope I'm low enough to not take falling damage. :P
I haven't looked at the game options very carefully recently.
I do the same thing though, hoping I won't take fall damage. It's just so awesome to drop down, stealth while falling and immediately cheap shot someone.
Okay, my warrior has fallen to his death for the last time due to my accidentally hitting my dismount+charge macro while flying. This is the macro:
#showtooltip Charge
/dismount
/cast Charge
Simple, no?
When I use it properly, it's great. Then there's the times when it just makes me plummet to my doom because I don't have a valid target, or I don't have one in range, or I'm in defensive/berserker stance and can't use charge.
What sort of safeties would I need to put in place so that this could only make me dismount if I have a valid charge target in range while in battle stance?
You realize you don't need this macro anymore, right? You can automatically dismount when attempting to cast something via the default UI now. It's even enabled by default. It'll only dismount you if your target is valid for the given spell/ability, too, so all of that logic is intrinsic to the function.
I do know this (and use it gleefully on land mounts), but I have it disabled on my flyers because I don't want to hit something like berserker rage by accident and plummet to my demise. Hence the macro.
Put that just above /dismount. It should stop the macro if you're not in Battle Stance or you don't have a hostile targeted. Can't check range in a macro, though.
The default UI's auto-dismount feature doesn't check for valid targets, just range... I'm pretty sure it even ignores LOS.
The convenience outweighs the possibility of death.
But now for the million dollar question: Why would you have charge on non-Battle Stance bars to press in the first place?
I put that particular macro on a different bar from my stance bar. I've got an enormous block of buttons at the bottom of my screen, and only one of the rows changes with stance. I probably could go ahead and replace my regular charge with the macro, but when I was messing around with it, I didn't want to get rid of the one charge button that I knew worked.
I downloaded the healbot mod from curse-gaming, but when I tried to implement it, the game said it was "incompatable". So my question is which version of healbot should I use and where should I download it from?
I'm using /use 13 and /use 14 for my trinkets in a macro but since the last patch the ? icon doesn't show the icon for the equipped trinket. Is there a work around to fix it? I couldn't find crap on the official forums.

Try it on the PTR. I believe Slouken said it was fixed for 2.2.

Arikado, is that a special form of Grid you're using? How did you get it to loo klike that?
Nope, I spend a lot of time tinkering with it. There's options to extend them and stuff. Plus, if I had problems, the author of Grid is in my guild.
:0
tell him he's rad!
also, is there a mod that will just hide party frames at all times? I just use grid for everything, including party healing now, so it's kind of redundant to have up there
Hrm...I used to have ag_unit frames and/or CT-Raid hide my party frames but I became too accustomed with wanting to see my proc buffs on people that I just leave them on.
I was wondering how I could get rid of them too, when I remembered I had Sage unit frames installed, so I simply turned off all of Sage's addons under the Addon menu except for Sage and Sage Party, then set the party frame's transparency to zero.
Nothing pretty or cool, but it works for me. Spoiled for hugeness.

unique for sure.
I am going to post my new/old later. essentially they are the same BUT I have made everything smaller and gotten rid of one chat frame. makes things a shitload better.
like a fucking HUGE shitload of better-ness.
and I like pitbull a lot more than I did at the start. the reason I had said I still missed DUF was the ability to move each and every piece of the unit frame individually. i had some trouble setting up the buff/debuffs on targets and party members with pitbull, but a few runs (needed some live testing) later and it's all good.
Yeah I really don't like the options available for pitbull auras, but it's not a dealbreaker for me compared to all the other stuff that the frames offer in such a compact and easy to digest manner.

Hey guys, I've got an addon question, so I figured I'd appeal to the collective knowledge of the PA WoW community.
I use UberQuest (reborn). I really like it, it's got the whole double-wide quest log, quest levels, and a nice quest tracker/minion that I like better than the blizzard default.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be compatible with LightHead. I guess it has something to do with how they both create their frames. At any rate, LightHead seems really useful and at the moment it's the only one with its functionality, so I'm looking for a suitable mod or set of mods that equals or at least approximates the feel of UberQuest. The key to the whole thing, in my opinion is the quest tracker. I can track more than 5 quests (assuming that's still a limitation to the built in one), it's easily movable and scalable, and I've probably just grown used to the look.
Here's a WorldofWar link to the addon (with some screens).
Oh, and just for the heck of it, here's an image of my current UI setup. It's a little out of date and on my alt, so everything looks a little sparse. On the main, most spaces get filled up with pointless but awesome statistics. And actually, you can see the quest minion in the upper right corner.
Try DoubleWide and nQuestLog. DoubleWide is available at WoWInterface, and nQuestLog from http://files.wowace.com.

or use monkeyquest. might have to do a google search, sorry I don't have a link to their website.
I use it and it's great (can see it in my post a couple pages back if I don't post a new one soon)
edit - it's the thing on the right. you can hide it altogether, I just like to elave it out like that. and it dfinitely works with lightheaded, as it doesn't replace the original quest frame.

as said just shrunk things and I think it works a lot better.
You know, with stuff like Lightheaded already existing, how far away are we from having something like Joana's leveling guide in mod form? Pretty much all you'd need to to would be to rip out the user comments section of Lightheaded and replace it with your own comments saying where to go next and what to do.
I think it was pitbull my targets debuff's and buffs appeared way to the right Instead of just underneath which killed it for me. could have been Ag_unit frames too. Any help for iether would be great. I just could see where in either to play with where the debuffs and buffs show up on my target.

Any ideas on how to fix that?
I would also like to know how to fix this, since it is quite annoying.
Alt+Right-click frame -> Other -> Auras for Pitbull buff/debuff options. Side will choose where it appears.
I don't have buffs enabled, but try checking off "Split" under Auras and see if that doesn't "fix" the problem where the debuffs start on the far right of the frame.

yeah, that was a deal breaker for me too until I realized that for the mod to be popular at all, it would have to be a problem that had a solution.
Yeah, I mentioned I didn't like the Auras setup, but my complaint is that you don't have direct control over how many rows/columns your debuff/buffs will appear in once you've placed them -- not quite as customizable as I'd like.

I'm just after starting a lock, and I want things to be even easier then they already are. Is it possible to make a macro that will allow me to cast my three dots(Immolate, then the instant ones) in one click?

Crappy quality picture. I'm a whore for minimalistic UIs.

New UI:
New is using the same addons, but with eepanels to make it look cleaner and repositioning of some stuff.

You could do that?
I know ag_unit frames and CTRaid have it. I'm pretty sure XPerl does as well.

It seems a lot more sinister with the rain, very nice.
I am almost positive, that the rain in Scarlet Monastery once doused the Fire Elementals in that one courtyard area.
New UI
Really happy with my new ui, and don't see changing it for a long while.
Also tell him it needs to auto resize for the number of people in the raid, even if it has to wait until it's out of combat to do so.
and yes, he's rad.

I think he is letting someone else of the Ace team code it for now. Although I will pass on the idea.
