InFamous comes out for PS3 - the exclusive developed by Sucker Punch, same guys behind the Sly Cooper games; this is kind of an openworld superhero game in which you can be good or evil. Looks and sounds like a lot of fun.
PS3 also gets the
NIS RPG Cross Edge. According to gamestop, it's an SRPG with "characters and storylines from popular franchises including: Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Mana Khemia, and Spectral Souls."
Speaking of niche,
Atlus is releasing C
rimson Gem Saga this week as well; turn-based chain/combo based combat RPG.
Speaking of PSP, the PSP game
Secret Agent Clank is ported to PS2 this week.
The HD systems get
Damnation, which looks/sounds cool but has been getting meh/bad reviews so far.
Great week for Sony stuff. The rest is blah. Let's hope for some good digital distro games come out this week.

Also, as UnbreakableVow pointed out in the PSN thread, Resident Evil: Director's Cut is dropping into the PSOne Classics on Thursday for $9.99.
I kind of loved it.

I can wait if that's the case.
NIS Europe doesn't exist. Koei Europe and Square Enix Europe publish most of their games in PAL territories.
Really?
I'm looking at my disgaea 3 case and there's the NIS logo with europe underneath.
Then again, it's published by SE so I don't know what to think now. :P
NIS probably own the western publishing rights to their games, then sell off the PAL territory publishing duties to Koei or Square Enix later on. Plus it helps them establish a brand name in PAL territories and keep brand solidarity between Koei and Square Enix releases.
Koei are publishing Cross Edge this time around.
I'll probably wait for this one to drop in prices first.
And woohoo for RE1 as a PS1 classic! Admittedly, I don't particularly want it, but if RE1 is up now, then it's only a matter of time before RE2 & RE3 (both of which I do want on the PSP) show up.

Anyone got some hands on experience with an import version of Cross Edge? The character mashup concept doesn't interest me, but if the gameplay is solid I'd consider it.
I'm kind of excited. I hadn't really been following the game at all, and I never played Sly Cooper, and the demo was tons of fun. I feel bad for missing Sly now.

Made by Idea Factory. It's going to be awful.
Run, and don't look back.
B-but..
Fuck. I was hoping to go a week without buying something.

This made me think of Max Payne, and come to think of it so did the tone of the InFamous demo and the look of the cutscenes.
You just blew my mind.

Why are people buying a pedometer for their DS?
I've been trying to take an initiative to cut calories and walking daily (Well, as much as I can anyway) and the pedometer will be a neat way to track it.

The WiiWare stuff sounds good. And I think some people are interested in Clay Fighter, though I never really enjoyed the games myself.
Bubble Bobble and Adventure Island could be worth looking into...

Wouldn't it make far more sense to spend less money on a much smaller, less cumbersome pedometer?
Anyway: Clay Fighter, woo! I wasn't expecting that.
huh
That sounds kind of appealing but, you know, American Popstar
kinda reminds me a bit of the new Super Robot Taisen game on DS. Not completely... but kinda.
it's alright
dunno why everyone was pooping on it
My friend's really digging it, and the videos I saw weren't terrible -- the music was great for sure from what I heard.
the only real complaint I have is that it was basically designed to sell strategy guides
there is a ton of shit going on and I am fairly clueless to most of it
sorry guys I'm not paying ten bucks to do what I could do on gamefaqs for free
