    I did my undergrad up in the Bay. Definitely check out the Cal Academy of Sciences and the Exploratorium (though the Exploratorium is geared towards kids with interactive exhibits and what not). Check out Berkeley if you have the time, it's a great campus but really not a lot to do in the immediate area. Fisherman's Wharf is pretty touristy, but there's a boat tour that takes you under the Golden Gate Bridge. And if you have time, definitely drive to/around Marin county.

    The food is good there is also Applejacks down 84 towards the coast in La Honda. The view driving along skyline is awesome with lots of vistas and places to take photos. The down side is to be wary of the motorcycle traffic on the weekends.

    Fishman I had a rad as hell time in San Francisco when I visited a... hmm.. Goddamn it would be like three years ago, now.

    It is notable that I could not drink at the time but still had a great time.

    You will have fun because you are an attractive clean cut dude with a sexy Kiwi accent.

    The Sutro Baths are awesome, if you find ruins fascinating.

    Don't bring a lady there during sunset or you may spontaneously propose to her.
