Noise Canceling Headphones

I currently use a set of Sennheisner HD 555's for my gaming and listening pleasure, but a freiend at work let me use his noise canceling headphones for a few minutes and they were pretty awsome. He has never used them for gaming though so I was wondering if any of you had any advise or suggestions on the matter. Or should I just stay with what I have?
