A: Brainiac - Mary's rad but she's still fucked.
B: Mandarin - Even with the limitations, he's got like 7 superpowers. Silvy's got a sword and teleporting. Not enough.

A: Loki - Poor Sinestro, he gets what's essentially a bye and then has to fight a god. Tough break.
B: Lex Luthor - He's in a big playground full of not only all sorts of toys, but also schematics on how to neutralize all sorts of heroes, if we assume this is during Civil War. Not that Ra's couldn't use all this shit to his advantage too, but he's much more old world than Lexy.
a) Typhoid Mary - Tough call, but I'll give the edge to the crazy person in the crazy dimension. That and the fact I assume Mr Crazy-midget will have more fun screwing with a straight laced android than crazy fire lady.
b) Mandarin - Another tough call, but I think Mandarin's versatility will give him the win.

a) Loki - Being a god of trickery tends to give you an edge in fights.
b) Lex Luthor - He's going to be like a kid in a candy store.
Typhoid Mary over Braniac - When 'Insanity' is on your power list and you're fighting in the 5th dimension, good things are meant for you.
Mandarin over Silver Samurai - Mandarin can take on Iron Man and the Avengers. Silver Samurai loses to Wolverine and Jubilee

Sinestro over Loki - Loki has never accomplished anything he sets out to do. Sure, he's a god, but he really is a rather pathetic one.
Lex Luthor over Ra's al Ghul - This is like the first couple rounds of March Madness. Sure, all the games are being played on 'neutral' courts, but when the Arizona Wildcats play their bracket in Phoenix, it's still a homecourt advantage.
A: Brainiac - He's kind of a lame character but he can take a punch from Superman.
B: Silver Samurai - Teleport, slice, dead.

A: Loki - Gonna fuck with Sinestro so bad.
B: Ra's Al Ghul - Better fighter. Lex could win, if he gets ahold of something to help him. But there is no guarantee of that.
1.Brainiac- the dude has conquered worlds, last time we saw Mary she was getting knocked the fuck out in one hit by Luke.
2.Mandarin- I've never liked the Mandarin, however he's totally got Sam outnumbered attack wise. Whereas Sam can tele/attack, Mandarin's got enough shit to keep him runnin' even with the nerf.

1.Loki- Norse God. Pretty sure he can pull a fast one on ol' Snidely Whiplash
2.Lex- If you Rudebox him, he'll Rudebox your whole crew.
A. Brainiac: Mary only wins if Mr. M interfers so much that it's basically him vs. Brainy.
B. Silver Samurai. Mandarin has more powers, but he's still more of a chump, and now he doesn't have his most dangerous powers.

A. Loki: The setting favors Loki and he'd do well even without it.
B. Lex Luthor: Baxter is a definite advantage to Luthor, which is a close fight otherwise.
I agree with these
A - Brainiac - Mary is nowhere near the same power level. Plus I do not think she will last long at all in the 5th dimension.
B - Silver Samurai - Teleport + throat slice is better than some fancy rings.

A - Loki - Norse god of trickery + an entire planet to play with = win.
B - Luthor - Will find a ton of tricks in the Baxter building that he can use to win.
A - Brainiac - Mary wins if Mr. M interfers to the point of insanity. The field has been leveled somewhat, but as long as Brainiac doesn't have a robot mind-fuck in the 5th dimension, he'll be OK.
B -Mandarin - He's smarter than Samurai by about a billion.

A - Loki - Norse god of trickery. Planet of Xenophobic bird people. Yeah.
B - Luthor - Turns the HERBIE units into killbots, then turns the killbots into killbots.
A - Brainiac - There is no way TM should have bet Joker, let alone a guy who can knock Superman around.
B - Mandarin - Close because of the circumstances, but he's a lot smarter and can probably pull this one out.

B - Luthor - Another tough one, but he can talk his way or blast his way out of this one.

Brainiac-The fact that people could even debate Joker versus Typhoid Mary is evidence of how fucked she is here. This is like pitting a caveman against a fucking Mechwarrior.
Mandarin-He has a skin tight force field and ten different kinds of fuck you up, and is just as skilled martially as Samurai. Lawlz screwed.

Brainiac- I don't like him, in fact i think that making a frickin machine have the same strength as Supes is downright retarded, but there is no way Mary is winning this fight.
Silver Samurai- I'd love to see him teleport right next to Mandarin and cut his fingers off. No more rings for the bad Chinese stereotype.

Loki- Pretty obvious here. Sinestro is powerful, but Loki just got a whole new planet to have fun on.
Ra's Al Ghul- He's reverse-Batman. Lex can spend about 5 minutes concocting some super doom device while Ra's just sneaks up behind him and slits his throat.
brainiac- mary just doesn't even...i mean. i don't think i remember the last time i read her actually winning a fight, or even coming much close.

Match A Loki - Environment wins it. Like a gun with infinite bullets.
Match B Ra's - Lex is gonna get an unpleasant surprise three quarters of the way through building his black hole shooter.
A- Brainiac: 12th level intellect, superpowered body powerful enough to aquash mary like an ant and shrug off anything she can throw at him, less likely to break down and cry at the sight of the 5th Dimsnion, seeing as he's not mentally and emotionally unstable.
B- Mandarin: Far too versatile for Silver Samurai.

A- Loki: Trickster god. Will trick Sinestro into losing, rad as Sinestro is.
B- Luthor: The Baxter Building is Luthor's playground. He can convert almost anything in it into a horribly lethal weapon or defensive device.
Fight A: Brainiac- Even in the crazy 5th Dimension there is nothing Mary can do to him. Her only hope would be if Mr. M decided to turn the people into robots and the robots into people.
Fight B: Mandarin- In this battle of the stereotypes, Mandarin takes it all the way to 10 (magic rings)

Fight A: Loki-Being the god of tricksters gives you much more to work with than a giant head and a creepy moustache.
Fight B: Ra's- Close fight, Ra's just has an advantage over Lex in every situation except if Lex gets his hands on a powerful enough weapon. That is not enough for me to give him my vote.
A - Typhoid Mary (thanks to Mr. Mxyzptlk): Mxy and Brainiac should know of each other. Being in the fifth dimension, Mxy will totally fuck up Brainiac in fear that he might take it over. Then Mxy forces him out by saying Cainiarb. Mary might have some part in it... though she's not powerful enough, even if her personalities were split into separate entities. If this fight didn't take place on the 5th dimension - Mary would be dead.
B - The Mandarin: Hasn't the Mandarin hired the Silver Samurai on occasion? Regardless, both should know each other's abilities and the Mandarin should be able to handle a teleporter.
Fight 10
A - Loki: Sinestro is powerful, but can be fooled like many others in this tournament and that will end in a Loki victory.
B - Lex Luthor: Hacks into the Baxter Building security system and captures Ra's. He's got all the time in the world then to 'properly' defeat Ra's.
A: Brainiac: I think this fight almost could have gone Mary's way, what with Mr. Mxy wanting to watch the most entertaining fight possible, but I stand by Spectre-X's assessment that Mary's brain isn't up to holding it together in the 5th dimension.
B: Mandarin: The Silver Samurai is lame. Has he ever beat anyone in a fight, ever? Mostly it seems like S.S just gets his clock cleaned by Wolverine every 4 monthes or so. Mandarin, on the other hand, spooks Iron Man, which is way cooler and more impressive.
Fight 10
A: Loki: Trickster god ftw.
B: Lex Luthor: This is another close one. Lex wins because of all the crap lieing around that he can use (portals to N-zone, maybe some old Fury Lmds, nuclear powered vacuums, H.E.R.B.I.E., etc.).
Brainiac: He's been to countless worlds and conquered them. Some wacky chick in wacky world, even with Cap'n Wacky helping her out, can't stop him.
Mandarin: Rings of Power > Lightsabre Katana

Lex: Lex is just too smart to be 'snuck up on' while he's working. Ra's may be the anti-Batman and all, but Lex has taken on the entire Justice League way more often. Lex gains control of the building security and environmentals, Ra's never gets a chance to use poison in the airvents or his fancy swordfighting skills.
A: Braniac - The only way Mary would have a chance in this fight would be if Mr. Mxyzptlk pretty much fights the entire battle for her while she stands there and watches. Since that would be a bullshit way to win, I give it to Braniac.
B: Mandarin - Despite being short a few rings, Mandarin is still too much for SilverSam to handle. Even if SS teleports up close to try and use his sword, Mandarin could use the wind ring to fling him away again, and then torch him at range, kinda like skeet shooting.
Bracket 10
A: Loki - Loki changes his appearance to match the locals, then incites the entire planet full of xenophobic bird-men to pound the crap out of Sinestro for him. Not that Loki coudln't win in a straight up fight, he'd just have more fun doing it this way.
B: Ra's - Ra's runs Lex down in a hallway while he's searching for a security computer or a tech lab. Ra's stabs Lex in the ensuing sword-fight. Stabs him right in the fucking FACE.
A: Brainiac: Mary can't hurt him.
b:Mandarin: He'll expect the old teleport neck slice. He's better than that.

Lex: Building full of super tech?! He'd win just so he can get his hands on Reed's stuff.
A: Brainiac - Mary is simply out of her league, despite the setting.
B: Mandarin - Would be an interesting fight, but I'm thinking Mandarin's brains give him the edge.

A: Loki - Is Sinestro a god? No? Ok then.
B: Ra's - Some people seem to think Lex can build an "I Win" machine with some old radio parts and a couple of minutes. I'd agree with the ability, but not the timeframe.
A: Brainiac- 5th dimension will fuck up Mary so hard. Brainiac will be f'ed, but gently.
B: Mandarin- even without all his skillz, he can take SS.
Round 10
A: Loki- A little bit o trickery dickery for Sinestro
B: Lex Luthor- in the Baxter Building, Technology smarts+ gun > Chemical smarts+gun

Fight A: Typhoid Mary - That Mr M. fellow will be a a deciding factor in this fight. like was mention before, he'll have more fun messing with the straight man.
Fight B: Mandarin - Versatility is the key word here. there's enough variation in his rings to take the win.

Ra's - Without the tech, Lex will get his ass kicked. I'm pretty sure Ra's can get to him before he assembles anything useful.

1) Brainiac - About the last person a street-level villian in this tournament would want to run into, regardless of the setting.
2) Mandarin - Much smarter than the opponents Silver Samurai is used to. Even gimped, I think he takes it.
Bracket the Tenth
1) Loki - As much as I like Sinestro, they're fighting in a highly populated area that favors the God of Trickery. Sinestro's a tough guy but getting rushed by a few thousand angry birdmen could potentially take him straight out.
2) Lex Luthor - The man is an evil MacGuyver in a business suit. If this was an empty field or something, I'd give it to Ra's, but in the Baxter Building? No way.

A: Brainiac- His logic circuits explode, splitting him into three distinct personalities, Brainy, who is a shy super-genius, Niac, who trusts none of the "fleshies," and Deathbot, who kills everything it sees. They all beat Mary.
B: Silver Samurai- "Hi, I just teleported above you with my sword materializing in your head. Your brain ceased to function the moment I started this speech."
Bracket Ten:
A: Loki- Hateful birdfolk focus their destructive impulses on the new Rannian "ally" Sinestro, beating him to a pulp while Loki laughs his frost giant ass off.
B: Ra's: Batman>Superman.
A-Braniac
I love rooting for the underdog, but Braniac's physical body is impervious to every conceivable attack Mary can dish out then there's literally no room for argument.
B-Silver Samurai
With only the projectile rings at his disposal, attack wise, Mandarin has no real chance against an armored foe who can easily dodge ranged attacks thanks to teleportation.

A-Loki
Again, there is no conceivable way Sinestro can harm Loki. There is nothing about hard light constructs that can stop a god.
B- Ra's Al Ghul
In short, Ra's is familiar enough with Lex to immediately know he will head to a tech room with a computer that can access the security system. Being faster than Lex, he will get there before Lex do anything of use an beat him with superior combat skills.
