05/30/09 FGNOnline can reveal to it's readers for the very first time SEGA SAMMY's two final choices for the name of it's next generation contender.

The two names currently in consideration are "DREAMCAST" and "COSMIC SMASH". When SEGA filed for the COSMIC SMASH trademark update the media automatically assumed that SEGA was to re-release the original 2001 SEGA Rosso developed title for either XBLA, PSN or WiiWare. However what these same publications failed to do was read the actual goods and services of the trademark which read as follows -

    Sounds more like they're gonna make a version of cosmic smash for today's consoles, like the 360, which will use wii-mote like controllers.

    I doubt there will be a new sega console.
