Lords of shadow trailer rocks my balls off. Truly an epic trailer. Robert Carlyle is also one of my favorite actors, couldn't believe it when his name showed up. He sounds fantastic, as a bad ass. Doesn't sound too put on or anything. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Big name actors or not, Crispin Freeman still played a pretty awesome Dracula.
FF7 remake for PS3 isn't coming this E3 (if it ever comes).
1 - Square-Enix is busy working on 2 huge Final Fantasy games at the moment (three if you count FF13 Versus). Another huge projects would really be spreading themselves thin with development & carries the risk of the various new Final Fantasy games stealing sales from each other.
2 - Square-Enix's strategy with remakes so far has been to put them on the portable systems: relatively cheap development costs combined with solid sales = funding for their big projects. Much as I'd prefer a 360 or PS3 FF7 remake, I'm going to have to say that a PSP or DS remake is much more likely.
3 - Square-Enix just put out FF7 on the PSN yesterday (a few weeks earlier in Japan). A FF7 remake announcement now would really cannibalize sales of the PSN version.
4 - If they couldn't afford to make FF13 or FF14 a PS3 exclusive, how on earth would they manage to make a FF7 remake a PS3 exclusive?
This year is super saturated with gaming goodness. Kind of odd, considering the economy.
Nintendo's presentation seemed pretty risk averse even by their standards though, with Mario games clearly made to boost Japanese sales and attract the DS audience to the Wii.
Sony and Microsoft should be worried about some of those exclusive new IPs though, some of them might end up being flops in part because of the economy.

1. The Remake doesn't have to be officially in development for them to announce it. Like with Shiggy and his Zelda picture, a confirmation is enough to stir up hype. a CG trailer is all that's needed.
2. Square has said that they're well aware of the fans' desire to see FFVII given the next-gen (PS3, 360) treatment. I'm sure they also know how pissed people would be at a mere portable port.
3. I really don't see how a remake announcement keeps people from buying the original.

Freeman plays Alucard in Hellsing (fucking awesomely, I might add). Him making a badass Dracula is just a matter of course.
Is there still E3 stuff tomorrow, or is tonight the last moment for anything possibly occurring?
According to the IGN feed tomorrow there is a Rockband thing, Splinter Cell, Bioware about Dragon Age and ME2, Modern Warfare 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, DeadSpace Extraction, MAG, Heavy Rain, and more Uncharted 2.
I am guessing they are all just panels with demonstrations then Q&A.

Eh, not bad, but after huge announcements like:
1. Mario Galaxy 2
2. Metroid: Other M
3. New Super Mario Bros Wii
4. Final Fantasy XIV
5. Kojimavania
I'm curious if there's something out there that can match or top all those big reveals.
Hey wasn't Nintendo doing some sort of presentation thing?
They did, and they announced a Wii Zelda. No screens or anything though.
Nobody told me this.
Yeah, it was a Q&A with Miyamoto, he talked about/demoed some games including NSMB Wii. He showed a painting of the next Zelda game which we only have an awful resolution little pic of, which looks to be Twilight Princess style. He wants to use MotionPlus in the next Zelda for things like the sword and bow but is not implementing it yet until he sees how M+ is adopted/received by the gaming community at large.

I don't think a remake will ever come. I have no idea why. You'd think they'd do one by now. Even for the PSP. Imagine if they bundled it with the PSP! That'd move some boxes.

Dead Rising 3 and 4 launching simultaneously with 2.
You actually want to watch that whole kart thing? Madness.
Isn't it like ten over there that the thing's supposed to take place? So let's see, three hours for cross-country, five hours from here to England...I'm guessing like six AM assuming the previous factors are correct.

I cannot figure out why they haven't released a remake either. Its like some guy having the winning lotto ticket and then never cashing it in.
I gotta say i'm pretty impressed by this years line-up. As a wii owner i'm just glad the draught of decent titles will soon be over.
I just wanna ask though, is that final fantasy 14 a proper title or is it just another online player like 11 was?
Its another MMO game. Hopefully SE learnt all their lessons from XI and won't dock people experience for dying this time. They have already said that they will be making it so that people can actually solo to an extent.
Natal is going to be a 10 or -10 in fun, I don't really like some of these motion sensing things senses it can be really hit or miss at times. Kudos to Microsoft if they nail the accuracy.
In the crackdown trailer, don't they show a team of four agents sittin' on top of a skyscraper trackin' that dude before the one jumps down to hunt him?
Could that imply that maybe the devs plan on increasing the co-op player number from 2 to 4?
Because holy sweet Jesus that would be great. Especially if they had some "infected" monsters that were so frickin' huge and over the top that you'd need 3 or 4 guys to take it down.

I like you. I like the way you think. I like the cut of your jib. I admire the ideas you have and I retain hopes that they are fruitful.
I just don't get the excitement over New Super Mario Brothers Wii. It was good on a handheld. Multiplayer party game or not, next to Galaxy 2, it just looks stupid.
Anyone care to explain?
I mean, it may be fun, but I wouldn't chalk it up to a "big" reveal.

NSMB DS is still at $35, and is still selling pretty well. NSMB Wii is going to probably be $50, and is a Mario sidescroller, and will sell like hotcakes.

Hell, it looks like Lost Planet 2 is already doing that. It has 4 player co-op and they showed off the 4 guys fighting a giant lizard monster in which 2 of the 4 guys actually jumped inside it and began destroying the beast from the inside.

Valve already had one yesterday. It was pretty much entirely Left 4 Dead 2.

Wow.
So whatever happened to releasing that episodic Half-Life 2 content each year?
Are they nearing completion of Ep 3 or are they releasing more concept art of that ship stuck in an iceberg?

What's the deal? Are they reworking the whole thing from the ground up? Hasn't Japan had it since December last year?
