Hey wasn't Nintendo doing some sort of presentation thing?
They did, and they announced a Wii Zelda. No screens or anything though.
Nobody told me this.
Yeah, it was a Q&A with Miyamoto, he talked about/demoed some games including NSMB Wii. He showed a painting of the next Zelda game which we only have an awful resolution little pic of, which looks to be Twilight Princess style. He wants to use MotionPlus in the next Zelda for things like the sword and bow but is not implementing it yet until he sees how M+ is adopted/received by the gaming community at large.

You don't want to see it. It is better not to see it. It is not worth your time.
Are you sure?
Seriously this is not worth looking at.
Since it was a closed conference this is literally the only picture we have of it on the internet...

Probably because I haven't been following it at all, but I think my big pleasant surprise of the show that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories looks to be the first good Silent Hill since the third.
It looks creepy as all hell, and I'm loving the look of the control scheme, it's one of the very few games I can even think of that really makes me want to play with waggle control.

It looks like flashlight use would be so natural, and that alone adds so much creepiness to the game, seeing the shadows move...
I think this E3 is one of the best ever when it comes to game announcements. NSMB Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, A bunch of new Metal Gears, Kojima developed Castlevania, Crackdown 2, and a shitload of other awesome stuff. Not to mention the cool little bonuses like Social media and full game downloads on the 360.
For me, this E3 fucking rules.
Only disappointment for me is the complete lack of anything Pikmin.
EDIT: Where is that black Wii pic? I cannot skim through 350 pages of thread.

Haha! Worth it for amusement value if nothing else.
I don't want to make a thread about it, but I still want to talk about APB. Gamespot has written a little about it. I think it's weird that there haven't really been any recent videos of the character cretor.

Really though, I could see the Vitality sensor being used in a horror game to pretty awesome effect. Measuring your pulse to have certain things happening, having it go higher and higher until finally a bad thing jumps out of a dark place.
Only problem is it doesn't look designed to be used with both a mote+chuck, which is going to limit it pretty severely.
Oh God. Suda 51 wants to use the Wii Vitality Sensor in a game.
He and Kojima are the only developers crazy enough to find a way to make me want the WVS.
Also, Black Wii is excellent, and the new classic controller is also excellent. Once that comes out in the US (and it definitely looks like it should), it's totally bought.

Of course he does. I'm sure he found it so absurd that he just had to use it.
I was extremely wary of the WVS before this, and now I know that if Suda 51 makes a game using it, I will have to buy it.
Suda is a genius. He makes games that are about two generations behind the console their made for, they are often tedious affairs with incomprehensible plots and yet I and many other people LOVE THEM! I really hope his and Kojima's project is still in the works. Imagine Suda's plots with 45 minute cutscenes.

So hey... IGN used to release DVDs of videos from E3. Gametrailers also used to put up the entire press conference from each of the big 3 online to watch. Neither of these things happen anymore.
I used to love watching the conferences... any way to do so still?
I've been catching up on vids, and speaking of the PSP: I think PSP developers have learned how to unlock the second GameCube. This shit is pretty mindblowing how nice it looks:

There is a fair number of QA panels for certain games

I'd love to know what it was like, the DS is getting on a bit now and it'd be nice to know how they were going to follow it up.
Guess it still prints too much money to bother replacing yet. Shame though, it would have been nice to have seen a new handheld announcement.

I was thinking weary at having to look at everything everyone wants to show him at E3. Part of his job, but he wants to go home.

Haha, that's great
Also Miyamoto doesn't look concerned to me so much as critical.
Klyka wins E3.
