Don't you mean NOT sticking with?
The new change contradicts the old one. It is the contradiction. They stick with that. I'm not exactly sure how you'd word it, but whatever, point made.
Still not sure why we're discussing the story of Castlevania.

Look.
Castlevania gets into some pretty deep shit.
We're talking vampires, werewolves, glowing whips, and half-vampires with an anagram of the bad guy's name.
That's some Aristotle shit holmes.

I always liked Alucard's reaction when all his shit gets stolen.
What?!?!
What really freaked me out was when I beat the game.
I spent hours leveling up, grinding experience points by slaughtering the denizens of Hell in merciless close combat. Alucard fights his father on a throne made from blood and bone, fueled by his powers of darkness as one of the primordial evils of this world. With vicious combat, Alucard is the victor, and walks off to seal his cursed blood from this world via eternal slumber.
And then the credits roll.
And we get sweet, sensual jazz as the ending music.

All kidding aside, I wonder why Patrick Stewart takes these jobs
Motherfucker acts alongside Sir Ian McKellen in Shakespearean plays fer crissakes, voicing Kelvin "Blackstaff" Arunsun and the Emperor from Oblivion are a serious step down no matter how you look at it
It can't be the money, since he's gotta still get royalties from Star Trek
VAing is easy money if you are a star. Get to sit down for a few hours a day, record some lines, and do it all over again when the levels aren't just right or you flubbed a line.

So does he just think it's pretty fun, or what?
Money: You can never have too much
Oh and maybe he does actually enjoy it?
He probably enjoys it. Hell he doesn't do serious stuff all the time some times he does awesome stuff

Because preferring continuity is the exact translation of deeply seeded plot and lessons within that plot.
Isn't it promised to be an open world environment? If so, it's hardly a "god of war clone". You could say the combat is similar perhaps. There could be some pretty deep leveling up and gear collecting, to mix things up also. Would be nice if the massive bosses played more like SOTC, than the QTE stuff from God of War.
As for too much story? Bring it on i say. I loved what was shown in the trailer. It sure has a great voice cast to back it up.
After watching that trailer, 2 things are certain to me.
1. Patrick Stewart should narrate everything.
2. While this game may not really remind most of classic Castlevania, it still looks fucking awesome. The 2D CV games might well be my favourite series of all time, and as long as those still continue (Which I don't think we've had confirmation on), then I can be okay with making a fuck-awesome 3D imagining of the franchise.
Of course, that hasn't happened yet, though this does look promising.
To be fair, they were always going to want to go 3D with it, it's one of their big IP's and for it to still be 2D / handheld only limits thier ability to hit the mass market.
The early 3D versions were ok but lacked the polish we can have today, and with GOW as an inspiration they seem to have really done a good job on the basics. It's if the game will have the depth of SOTN or AOS that remains to be seen.

I would love an open world with actual platforming.
Got a PS3? Get InFamous.
I suppose I should have specified gothic-medieval environment as well, then.
I'm not sure how open world it'll be, but Assassins Creed 2 looks like it might be fun. I've never played the first one, but it's Renaissance Italy, so you can't go wrong.
Also, this looks like it might have whips, and possibly vampires, so I may try it out eventually.
Okay, after watching that trailer, I can definitely understand the GOW comparisons. This Castlevania has at least one thing that makes it better though. It doesn't have that dipshit Kratos in it.

You win the fucking internet for eternity, as far as I'm concerned. Spot on.
Edit: Oh, is there another trailer aside from 90 seconds of showing a dude kneeling down wearing cool armor that actually shows gameplay? Cuz if so, I need to see this.

1. Does the setting of the film/television show/game take place in midieval times or prior? If so, hire Patrick Stewart.
2. Does the setting of the film/television show/game take place in the 1900s or thereafter? If so, hire Morgan Freeman.
I haven't figured out who is best for other time periods, but to hire anyone else for those time periods above is sheer stupidity, for they are the best, nay, the ONLY choice.
The trailer looks promising and while I was a bit apprehensive at first about only seeing whipping and no other weapons, I noticed a screenshot where he's wielding a warhammer, so I'm hopeful that there will be more weapons and such available (with the whip obviously being the main focus and likely means of navigation).

Well, sticking with the most recent part of the contradiction.

"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions."
"Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!"
Do you see the poetry and meaning of the words? Shakespeare in the 21st century.

Have you never seen American Dad?
Ben Kinglsey said something like "I never turn work down, no matter how shit cos you don't know when they will stop asking"
Anyway, this game looks fuckawesome.

Fucking assholes.
And that's why he's in shit like Bloodrayne.
Indeed, but also: Sexy Beast
Anyway, back on topic, whips! on fire! all my dicks etc...
I'm pretty sure apart from the money, he just really likes having a good time.
That's a bad thing.

I always loved how they said "Yah!" in some goofy voice.
So I wonder if this will feature a Belmont. And a Dracula.
It sounds like Jason Isaacs is playing the villain.
