So due to buying a POS two years ago, I found myself in a situation where I needed to buy a new TV last Friday. So I did. I picked up a 40" Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 LCDTV.
Got it home, got it set up, immediately played some Rock Band using both the audio and video through the HDMI cable, no problems. This setup worked a treat until Sunday night, when the TV stopped picking up the PS3 audio signal through the HDMI cable unless I turned it off and unplugged it for 60 seconds.
WTF?
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? I'm calling Sony at noon today, but in case they can't help me I figure the bright minds here on this board can throw me a bone. I really don't want to have to unplug my TV every time I want to play a game or watch an episode of BSG.
EDIT: I updated the firmware and now it seems to be working. Hmm...
Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!
